Vehicle Detail

UPDATE 8/16 I REMOVED THE OFFER OPTION AND LOWERED THE BIN PRICE TO THE BEST I CAN DO, THANKS FOR ALL THE COMMENTS AND QUESTIONS. Auto restoration shop offers this 1965 Chevy C10 Factory Short Bed Step Side 2WD pickup. This truck sold new in Orofino Idaho (Have Protecto Plate) in 64. I went to high school in that rural population 3000 town. The original owner picked me up off the side of the road 21 years ago in this truck as I had a flat tire. I remember thinking wow this is a cool truck, maybe someday I can get one. Fast forward, 2 months ago, I was appraising cars at the Couer D’Alene Idaho car show a couple hours north of Orofino, and saw this truck in the show. I made an offer on the truck and came home with it. The lady I bought it from was family of the original owner, so 2 owners, 1 family. She regularly had the truck maintained over the years at a local shop to her. We spent 3 weeks going through the truck, making upgrades to how you see it today. This is an excellent driver quality solid non-molested original truck. The trend on these C10’s are low, bagged, big wheels etc. Very rare to see an original truck in good condition, my opinion value wise always better to keep them original to retain value, trends come and go. If you are looking for a nice not perfect problem free original truck that you can drive up a gravel road or in the rain this may be for you. I’ve driven this truck on a couple 150+ mile drives with no problems and a smile on my face. Runs perfect, we compression and leak down tested it, perfect on all 6. Pulls very well up hills, very easy to drive on the highway or in town. Original 3 on the tree which I think is so much fun to drive, new clutch in 09. Told 108xxx original miles, WA calls them mileage exempt on title due to age. Truck has been mechanically rebuilt end to end over the last few years. I just put on brand new all season tires. I drive the truck at 60-65 mph, cruises right along, can go faster of course. Very easy truck to drive, no drama, lots of fun. BODY The body all appears to be original to the truck. This is a very solid body/frame. The paint was done 15 years ago, a good job back then, there are some chips/scuffs/etc here and there. Very presentable, we cut/buffed it, I would not do anything else to the paint. We Linexed the bed, looks great. The wood was weathered, we sanded it down, 3 coats of stain, heavy coats of clear to seal and protect the wood. The rails were sanded a bit then cleared with automotive clear. We were going for a nice patina look to match the truck, came out exactly how I wanted. We re-did all the white paint, removed the bumpers, wheels, etc. a nice satin white enamel. The interior is clean. Basic CD player stereo with speaker boxes under seat (nothing was hacked up). We can undercoat the truck with a semi-gloss black product called POR-15. We wire wheel the underside, plasti-bag up the truck so no overspray on paint. Cost on that is an additional $400, I did not do that as I wanted to show the integrity of the undercarriage. POR-15 is the best stuff on the market, a must if you live in a salted road area. All the glass is good, seals are good. Clean/Clear WA state title in my name in hand. I have a shipper broker whom I can put you in contact with or work with your shipper. Title and truck leave my possession only after payment in full has been cleared. I take bank to bank wire, cashier’s check in mail with tracking # or cash in hand within 3 business days closed auction to my US Bank business account. International payment via bank to bank wire only. I can get this truck to the ocean barge dock in Tacoma WA for international shipment or to AK or HI. 5 hour drive each way for me, must be negotiated prior to purchase. I USPS the papers directly after payment is cleared. Please look at all the pictures on the PhotoBucket link and watch the video, if you have additional questions, please ask. I welcome 3rd party inspections at my shop during not after the auction. Skip Auto Appraisals & Pre-Buy Inspections, I own that business.
