Up for auction is my 1970 Buick Riviera that has been in our family since new. My aunt was the original owner from March 1970 until her passing in 2014. The mileage is 42,600 and those are actual miles. The engine is the 455ci 370hp, the last year for the high compression 455. Transmission is the TH400. The exterior of the car shows well. Paint is in good condition with normal wear. There are imperfections and rust issues with the rear wheel skirts,also some minor blistering in the passenger side rear 1/4 panel(I'll post a picture I hope shows this). The vinyl top has no tears or blisters. Tires are in good condition but of unknown age.The interior is in great condition and a beautiful bright white. This color only came with the optional bucket seats and center console, it wasn't available with the standard bench seat interior. The power accessories are in working order. Overall it's a great driver condition car. It starts,runs, and drives like it should. The brakes and fuel system where gone through after purchase due the length of time it had sat. The 2 known issues that most people would have addressed are 1)the air conditioning is not in working order. All parts are there but the compressor has been bypassed. I suspect the compressor has issues but I do not know this. 2) the timing cover does have a leak. A fairly common issue with these engines and not a great expense. The buyer is required to make a $500 non refundable deposite 48 hrs from the auction ending. There is no warranty expressed or implied. The vehicle is being sold " AS IS". The buyer is responsible for all shipping cost, tags, and tax. I reserve the right to end auction early or sell the vehicle through other venues. The balance of the purchase price is due 5 days from the end of auction. If the purchase transaction is not completed I reserve the right to keep the deposit and either re-list the vehicle or sale to the 2nd highest bidder.
