This auction is for a 1966 Ford Mustang GT Coupe. This is a real GT coupe. It is a automatic with the original correct factory engine and transmission. It has many options including: Factory AC, GT Package, Tinted Glass,Power Steering, Disc Brakes, Pony Interior, Deluxe seat belts, Console and Original pony floor mats both front and rear and many more. This is an Original California car ( see paperwork photos) and still has the original floor pans which are in very nice condition. The cowl, floor pans and trunk area have no rust issues like most Mustangs of this vintage. There is one small rust bubble about the size of a finger nail on the right door. The car is about as rust free as any I have seen of this vintage. The car runs and drives and stops very nice, the engine runs great with no issues, the transmission shifts great with no issues. The following are in good working condition: Headlights both bright and dim, turn signals, brake lights, radio, horn, back up lights, all gauges, engine, transmission, brakes, and the windows roll up and down very nice. The headlights are even the original FOMCO headlights. The windshield is original as is all other glass. The mileage appears to be original and is believed to be original but of course there is no way to prove it. The interior is mostly original with the front seat covers and the carpet being replaced years ago. The headliner, dash pad and rear seat are original and in very nice condition. The car has had 1 repaint in the original color a very long time ago. The paint is very dull and could use color sanding and buffing or a total re-spray. The door jams still have the original paint and have never been re-sprayed. The AC system is complete but not working. The left rear quarter panel has cracking paint indicating a repair in the past. The Carb could use a good cleaning or rebuild as the car idles a little rough but clears up as soon as you apply the gas. This car was a original vinyl top car but the vinyl top was removed and the top painted black. The door panels are original and showing their age. This is a very nice survivor type original California Mustang GT that would be a great car as is, or for the perfectionist a great car to restore. It comes with the original owners card and original owners manual. Car still has most of the California smog equipment in place. Original cars like this, that have not been restored or messed with are getting very hard to find. This is someones chance to own a great original car and this is the first time this car has been offered to the public.
