Designed under the guidance of Sir William Lyons, the car was a longer and lower version of Jaguar's D-Type. Manufactured between 1961 and 1975, its combination of good looks, high performance, and competitive pricing established the marquee as an icon of 1960s motoring. On its release Enzo Ferrari called it "The most beautiful car ever made". Series I E-Types are among the most admired models Jaguar ever produced. This car, a two seater FHC delivered June 2, 1966 to Mr. Howard Jenson Jr. of Bloomfield, Connecticut was later acquired by another local resident Edward T. Morgan. Mr. Morgan of Morgan Laboratories would go on the own the vehicle for the remainder of his life. It's believed the car was garaged in 1976/77, where it would rest until just this year. Wearing correct Opalescent Maroon paintwork over original black leather upholstery as it left the factory, the car remains exceptionally original and solid throughout. The floors are surprisingly intact and remain very original including the original undercoat. It appears this Coupe was professionally fitted in period with an advanced audio and recording system, as well as Lucas driving lamps, but otherwise factory in appearance with preserved original equipment. 1E32848 retains its numbers-matching engine and head, as verified by original documentation.
