Vehicle Detail

1971 Ford F-250 Camper Special, Explorer Special (pkg. "C"). This truck is in original, un-restored condition, 14,411 original miles (the odometer has not turned over). Original Ohio owner garaged it from 1971 to 2005, then when he died, his family sold it with 9700 miles on it. It went to California in 2007 with 9800 miles, I bought it with 13,195 miles in early 2012. The 2nd owner had a professional respray/blend only on top of bed to middle trim and tailgate due to a couple of scratches, all other paint is original and dent, rust and accident free. Inside of bed never painted or touched up. Truck has all original "Carlite" glass, and all molding, trim and emblems are original and have never been taken off truck. Interior is as new looking as it was in 1971. Seat is special to the Explorer package and is mint. The only defect in the interior is a tiny hole about 2mm on the dash, barely noticeable. Truck body panels were factory undercoated when new and is perfect and not flaking. Frame is mint, I have only touched up with satin frame black. The only things not original are professionally bent true 2 1/2" duals with SS Magnaflo's (nice, quiet tone), and obviously the plugs, battery, etc. I just replaced the original valve cover and carb cork gaskets due to small seeping, all others original, so there is a drip or two every week or so from tranny pan seal, etc. Tiny old crack in one cast iron exhaust manifold which you can't hear. The pictures show 16" tires and wheels but they do not go with the truck. I have the original, same color 16.5" wheels with new original size radials that go with the truck shown in 2nd pic (includes original spare wheel/carrier and bias-ply). The original SS caps pictured do go with the truck. I have the original AM radio and perfect bezel in a box, along with the Explorer front bumper bars not shown. Have all original manuals, brochures, even a pic of the original salesman (now in his 90's...I called him). This truck runs and drives like a new truck, with no rattles, squeaks, etc. Do your homework and try to find a truck with these two packages together with the low miles. You will be hard pressed to find a nicer, un-restored, ultra low mileage truck for sale anywhere. Also for sale locally, so can removed from listing if sold. I will respond to any questions. On Jul-31-15 at 04:05:08 PDT, seller added the following information: ****Medium Blue Metallic was 1 of 3 colors offered in the 1971 Explorer package. You could not get this color on a Ford pickup any other year.****To answer a couple of questions, I do have the Title, and yes it has power steering and power brakes.
