You’ve found what you were looking for . . . this is a perfect pre-owned Toyota that you will love and it will give you many thousands of miles of good service. Owned by an older couple (man is a car nut-fanatic about things mechanical) We bought it at one year old from a Toyota dealer in Ft. Myers Florida as it came off a one year corporate lease. It now has 150,267 easy miles, driven primarily by my wife. It still carries Florida tags as our principal residence but we spend summers in the mountains of North Carolina (where we are now) so it has -0- miles in snow & salt. This is the perfect car for your daughter or son going off to school this fall or a reliable commuter car that gets good mileage. It is the most dependable car I have ever owned, and the most economical. Fuel milage is phenomenal, of course it is a four cylinder 2.2 L, Toyota’s best engine. OK, what’s wrong, why are we selling? It’s our age, not the car. The Camry is stylishly low to the ground and that is the problem. We’re having trouble bending our bodies enough to get in and get out comfortably. We need something high enough we can just walk up to and sit down-no bending! As far as the car is concerned, there is nothing wrong with it, everything works as it should, it has air bags (not the kind that are failing), radio, CD, A/C, anti-lock brakes, good tires, new battery, clean inside and out, always garaged or car-port. non-smokers, no pets. As to reliability, this last March we completed a trip to visit family, a thousand miles each way with absolutely no problems averaging over 25 mpg for the whole trip. Particulars: the timing belt and water pump was changed at 100,883 miles, new brakes at 111,144, drivers window motor replaced at 115,608. Other than tire and battery replacement, and oil changes, there have been no other problems with the car. (All service tickets available) Windshield replaced by insurance once due to rock damage. There is a minor rocker panel dent on the passenger side under the door from debris on the highway at night. It was apparently a "left-over" 2001 that wasn't sold until 2002. Sorry.
