1928 Ford Model A Pickup This is an older off frame restoration which has served me well over the last 20 years Now at my age 91, its time to quit. During the restoration I had the engine and transmission restored professionally at Pioneer Valley. It has been very strong ever since, climbing hills in high better than others I was touring with. Now with 20 years of day touring and breakfast runs, the engine has only around 5000 new miles. The clear Connecticut title I got with the pickup and thus my current title lists it as a 1928. I got it licensed and on the road in 1995 and have been touring with our club yearly ever since. Had only one breakdown on the road during that time - when the battery cable got too close to the brake lever, resulting in a shower of sparks. Among the truck's features are a Powerhouse generator, LED tail lights, cast iron brake drums, sealed beams and a new cargo box and floor. The body is painted Rock Moss Green with black fenders, the only color scheme Henry used for his original Model A Pickups. Other than the box and a new left rear fender, the sheet metal is that which came on it when I purchased it in 1972 (now reworked). From what I understand, that was the original body. Included in the sale is a collection of restoration/maintenance books and a number of spare parts you may use or trade. I have a low reserve on the auction since there are items which the weekend mechanic might wish to address. Among these are the front bumper now painted "silver", not chromed; the cargo box floor is due for refinishing; and seat cushions which you may or may not wish to replace. The back cushion has a split seam on the LH side. This vehicle is being sold "as is where is" with no warranty expressed or implied.
