In 1961, the Newport was available as a two-door convertible, two-door hardtop, four-door sedan, four-door hardtop and four-door station wagon. The engine in this four door sedan is the 361 cu in (5.9 L) V8 engine rated at 265 hp (198 kW; 269 PS). The 1962 model year Chryslers continued to use the 1961 body, but had shorter tailfins. I have the same opinion of most that the shorter tail fins keep the style while not looking ridicules. I much prefer the 1962 body style. This car has the push button automatic transmission, power steering and power brakes. This car drives and runs great and is in good working order.
