My business enables me to get my hands on some very interesting, older, dealer trade-ins like this super cool little 4WD Jeep wagon. It runs and drives great but please have realistic expectations, it's 32 yrs old and has some "to be expected" minor age related issues. Bid to win!!! 6O2 435 211O Jim With 2 (2.5-4.5 yrs old) daughters I've come to the conclusion (with my wife's help) that I have too many "toys" and not enough time to rebuild, restore, maintain and drive them all. I have held onto this unique little green wagon for 2 years, I've never seen another one like it. I'm a huge fan of Jeep Cherokees, just sold my 96 4 door, my 93 2 door and my 01, see my feedback below. There are very few of these 1st year AMC XJs left in this condition. If you're in a big hurry when you drive, want to tow, not mechanically inclined, want to build a "rock crawler for hardcore 4wheeling" please don't buy this Jeep, it deserves to be garaged, maintained and preserved. The Good Stuff: This Jeep has no rust, ever (see photos underneath) had a full repaint 2 years ago, there was no body work, it was-is that straight. I had it painted, rebuilt the brakes, new muffler, hatch struts, steering box, alignment, valve cover gasket, new headliner, installed a 2 inch lift kit, has like new 235/75/15 Goodyear Wrangler AT tires on factory wheels, is very original and in excellent shape for its age. Equipped with a 2.5L engine, auto trans, factory AC, etc. The engine runs strong, starts right up (even in 0 degree weather) no smoke, shifts great, 4WD works great, it runs down the road smooth, straight and very tight. The original 32 year old interior is in amazing condition, no smoking or pets ever, it attracts a lot of attention from Jeep lovers, people comment on it everywhere I go. The Not So Good Stuff: The AC was ice cold last summer, is only cool this summer so will need a recharge. The left rear bumper cap has a little damage, there are lots in the junk yard, Ill include one if time allows (see photos) There is a small wear spot on the driver's seat (see photos) The volt gage, rear wiper and drivers side speaker don't work. The front bumper is a tiny bit crooked, not really noticeable but it bugs me (see photo) There's a crack in the upper passenger side corner of the windshield (see photo) This Jeep has been driven very little in the last year, runs great but could probably use a minor tune up and like anything this old it does leak a little oil.
