Vehicle Detail

Non-OEM equpment or replacements: Exhaust is Vance and Hines 4-into-1; Seat is a Rich's (Seattle) re-foamed and re-uph'd quality improvement, and it looks great; Side Covers are Maier replicas, with button-capped studs - decals left off; Flickers are the mini-type; Mirrors are replacement shorty replicas of original style - big-diam with superb reflecting quality; Handlebar has been shortened an inch on each end; Tank has NO dents, except for a dime-sized mini-dent on top LH shoulder, above N in HONDA - tool got dropped on it; Tank developed an oozing leak about 1998 in LH water-sump bottom (Seattle wet weather), so 1st-O repaired it with an epoxy wet-bandage before he repainted it, and he creemed the inside - it's been solid ever since - and repair is hard to see, easily missed by admirers. This bike has a new maintenance-free battery (7-AH, 130 CCA) which cranks it over mightily - takes a couple turns of crank when first started from cold, but it fires right up in half-a-turn when restarted each time in the next few hours. From cold, it needs a half-minute of warmup to smooth out be ready to honk on the revs, and it honks with authority - much more powerful than a CB750F (1980) or a CB750 (K-zero; 1970) - I've had both in the past. The re-jetting with the V&H pipes and air filters might make it run a bit too rich - It gets 45-47MPG in cruising, while it originally got 50-52, and it crackles a bit when backing off from high revs. It is pretty loud, but I feather the throttle and short-shift whenever I want to keep it quieter. And that 4-into-1 sound when accelerating hard is entertaining. Again, this CB900F loses NO oil between changes - and oil and filter were replaced two weeks ago, at 20967 miles. At the same time, I lubed the drive cables of the speedo and tach; the clutch and throttle cables were lubed about 500 miles ago. As stated elsewhere, buyer must deposit into PayPal within 48 hours a $500 deposit; then pay off balance within the seven days following close of auction; all sums are in U.S. Dollars. Electronic Funds Transfer into my Credit Union account is preferred - but a cleared Cashier's Check or Money Order is acceptable. Bike will be released for shipping ASAP after purchase. I will send separately by USPS express-mail the signed off TITLE and a Bill of Sale - copy of each will also go with the bike.
