Vehicle Detail

1956 Plymouth Belvedere 4-door Hardtop V8-auto. Original, un-restored, kept indoors the last 12 years. Four-barrel Carter WCFB power pack carburetor, dual exhaust, 277 cubic inches, push button Powerflite automatic transmission, manual steering, standard brakes. Engine ran great and strong but has not been run for a few years. Automatic shifts into and out of gear clean and crisp. All brake wheel cylinders and master cylinder replaced, parking brake cable, new front brake hoses, new brake (but may need re-service) and fuel lines run to rear, gas tanked cleaned and painted. Undercoated the entire bottom while on a lift, replaced all missing stainless and chrome trim, changed oil and oil filter, good molded radiator hoses, resoldered radiator tanks. Floors, rockers, trunk pan are all in remarkably good condition, no rust issues (one rust spot at left rear dog leg - have replacement dog leg - see photo) . Body is nearly dent free and straight but right front fender needs adjustment as it was not adjusted correctly and thus the passenger door rubs it. Interior floors treated with modern bed liner a few years back. Replaced drivers door latch and adjusted for smooth operation. All glass is good, but needs new front and rear gaskets (Steele Rubber has them). Chrome frames around side glass is all good. Interior is trashed but included is a roll of original Aztec fabric material to reupholster seat/panels and factory original, star pattern, ready to install, headliner. The headliner seat/panel fabric are unique to this model. Paint has been lightly sanded and repainted in several spots to preserve the metal underneath, especially the drivers door where someone had sanded off almost all the paint in an aborted attempt to "restore" the car. The whole car obviously needs a thorough paint job, interior re-upholstery, and new wiring throughout. Don't count on it driving onto a transporter, the brakes just aren't there yet despite all the work done. Includes lots of excellent parts for restoration - some are shown. Includes extra set of side windows, set of rough door panels. The exact millage is unknown as the dash has been replaced. I decided, at 78 years old, that with family, vision, and other projects, will prevent me taking on another restoration project on top of a delayed current one. I have some paint colors if wanted for painting the car. Have a few more pictures I can email. Payment PayPal or cashiers Check. Questions? Call me @408-227-1837 jblken Store
