I bought this car for my daughter to take to college and everything worked perfect on it until yesterday. While driving it to the gas station yesterday I hit a pothole at the entrance to our subdivision. I got out to see if I did any damage and I noticed transmission fluid leaking. I drove it home (about ¼ of a mile) and it started leaking really bad. There is a line of transmission fluid from the pothole at the front of the subdivision into my driveway. I can’t see any holes in the pan and it looks like it is leaking from inside the transmission?????? I don’t know if something jammed in it or if I knocked something lose. The car still moves but is leaking really bad and not shifting correct .You will definitely need to tow it. She didn’t really like the car anyways so I am just going to take a huge loss and sell it like it is. I called my local Mini dealership and they told me they do not repair damaged transmission and I would need to pay for a whole new transmission. I am not going to spend that much money on this car with her not even liking it. She wants another 5 spd Miata so the Mini needs to just go. I have a clean AutoCheck report with the car showing NO damage or accident history. The reserve is less than half what I have in the car knowing it needs transmission work and Mini will not fix it but wants to replace the whole thing. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE
