Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a gorgeous 1969 Ford 1 ton old-school / Vintage / Shag / Boogie Van. Newly painted (previous owner) in this base coat clear coat paint scheme. Body and chassis are rust free. The paint may have originally been orange, after I removed the interior you can see the orange paint. You may recognize this van from being listed on eBay in May. I bought it, had it shipped from Idaho to Reno, then realized that a full interior restoration/construction was more work than I'm willing to do right now. My loss is your gain, I just want the space back in my shop. The good: The 302 V8 engine was rebuilt 20,000 miles ago (previous owner) and runs very strong and sounds sweet. It always starts up, just pump it twice and turn the key! The auto tranny shifts just like it should (feels like it has a mild shift kit) and the 1-ton suspension (8-lug wheels) is in great shape. It rides comfortable going down the road, considering it's a 1-ton. Having a V-8 in one of these vans is so much nicer than the 6 cylinders, you can burn rubber off the line and go 70 mph down the road with plenty of power left. All lights, turn signals and under dash, water temp, oil pressure and amp gauges work. Currently registered and clear title in my name.Paint is shiny and virtually brand new.Mechanically very strong.Excellent candidate for a sweet vintage interiorThe not so good:It could use new tires soon, at least the passenger rear. That is the one that does burnouts. There is no power steering or AC.The stock gauges don't work. No idea why.The wiring is typical of a van that was modified in the 70s by van-dudes. Not the best. Could use some clean up.Has 2 sunroofs. Both leak, and the front one is broken. It looks like the owner back in the 70s prefered to use caulk vs. accurate cuts for the installation. It's nothing that can't be fixed or replaced though. This is a really cool van that is in great mechanical condition, that is ready to drive anywhere this summer. Any questions give me 24 hrs. to return emails. Sold as-is, where-is. I'd be happy to help put it on a transporter for you if you arrange transport.
