I have a 1976 CJ5 I purchased about a year ago. I am selling it because I am getting ready to finish our basement and need to start letting some toys go. I just used the jeep to drive around town. It runs decent. I would install a manual choke as the automatic choke doesn't work well so you have to warm it up before hitting the road. It has a 3 speed and shifts smoothly. The top is usable, but I would look into a new one relatively soon. The jeep will come with a brand new bikini top. The rear window is beat up, but the rest of the top is ok. The previous owner patched the floor panels in the front and coated the bottom with some type of protectant. The exhaust system is newer. It has the original 304 V8 with power steering. 4 wheel drive works. There is some rust on the jeep, but nothing I felt needed immediate attention. I installed a CD player and replaced the speaker about 3 months ago. Total mileage is unknown as the speedometer has been replaced.Thanks for looking.
