Up for sell, my 1974 BMW 2002 tii. This is a no sunroof, very original tii. I'm a BMW CCA member and have owned many BMWs, this one is my 5th 2002. I have owned a few older ones with round tail lights but I don't like the way they drive. In 1974 BMW made some nice improvements that made the cars much more drivable, I even like the square lights and big bumpers. I bought it from a gentleman who owned it for the last 14 years. I do not have any history beyond that, however I do believe it's been a California car most of its life. It was originally Fjord Blue and at some point had a complete color change to a metallic black. The interior is in original condition, dash has a few cracks, front seats are older Recaros in solid shape with driver's side needing re-upholstery, rear seats are in excellent condition, nice Momo steering wheel, clock does not work. The drivetrain appears to be all original, it runs and drives strong and smooth, I'm not sure how many miles it has, the odometer does not turn, all the gauges do work perfectly. I have two keys and all original books plus the original tool pouch! This is a nice example of a 2002tii, it does need some rust work as I have included a few photos to illustrate. The rust is mostly concentrated around the windshield and rear window, the front right fender has some bubbling near the door gap, undercarriage is pretty clean, just a small rust area under the passenger's side floor board about a size of a silver dollar. The fact that it does not have a sunroof has been a reason for the limited rust, every 2002 with sunroof I've owned had much more rust underneath and at the door sill areas. Everything I mentioned is repairable and once all done it'll be a great car to enjoy for many years with it's value increasing. As it sits, it's a very drivable and enjoyable car and perhaps down the road you can get the rust around the glasses repaired, re-upholster the driver's side seat and have a nice little tii. For the California buyers, this being a 74 needs no smog!! I'm selling it due to lack of time, just bought a house which is proving to be a lot of work!!.
