Vehicle Detail
1996 BMW 318I Convertible. 4 cylinder 1.9 liter M44 engine at 140 HP. Same engine at early BMW M3. 5 Speed manual transmission. Silver with black interior. Car drives and looks great. The paint is original and has small blemishes but the body and interior are in good condition. Body is straight and in very good condition and there is no damage or accident history on the car. Clean Florida Title. Interior is in good shape with a some minor issues. Drivers door panel vinyl lining is loose near interior door handle and back seat has some small cracks along the top of the seat. Front seats are in perfect condition under seat covers. For a 20 year old car it looks and drives great. A paint job and a drivers interior door panel and this car would be near perfect, or do nothing to it an enjoy it for what it is, a nice classic German convertible that drives awesome and looks good but is not so nice you have to be paranoid about it. Have driven less than 20000 miles since purchase 5 years ago. Put new original style cloth top on 5 years ago with new headliner. Car has been garaged since I have have owned it and has only spent less than 2 weeks of that time outside. This has been a weekend toy and is in drive off condition. Top is manual so no issues with electric activation. Everything works on the car. Cruise/windows/locks/radio etc. A/C blows cold but compressor will occasionally make a squeal when car is cold but is fine after a couple minutes of warmup. When I bought the car I tried to Zero time all maintenance items. At 128000 transmission and differential fluid drained and filled with Royal Purple. All 4 brakes done (Rotors, Pads, Brake wear sensors). Coolant flushed and new thermostat installed. New serpentine belt and platinum spark plugs. All new original Bilstein struts/shocks at each wheel. Oil has been changed every 3000 miles. Engine runs smooth and transmission shifts perfectly as you would expect from a BMW. I have extensive maintenance records since purchased. Wheels replaced with a set of 16" wheels off of a 2004 BMW 328 with Continential Z rated tires. Tires have about another 10000-15000 miles of life. Will also include the original 15" wheels/tires plus maintenance items. Oil filters etc. A lot of fun for the money. When you see it and drive it in person you will not be disappointed. Inspection/Pickup available in Satellite Beach, Florida
