You are bidding on my 1974 BMW R90/6, with larger touring tank and factory original fairing and gauges including the BMW original Krauser hard bags/luggage. Those who are familiar with these bikes will recognize 1974 as the last year with the kick start option. I have been a lifelong rider of Beemers as you can see from two additional photos (copper R75/6 and 1976 R90/6) at the end of photo series. I purchased this one a little over a year ago and had a boatload of work done at an authorized BMW dealer; I can e-mail PDF files of all invoices totaling $2800.00 to qualified/truly interested bidders!!!! I acquired the bike expecting to have more time to ride and continue to improve this classic, but after acquiring a second home in trout fishing country I am sadly neglecting it. The bike has approx 37,000 original miles and is a strong runner with great compression. As the invoices will substantiate I had the tank interior re-coated, but it has since developed a leak over the winter storage season. Additionally the bike needs a new starter relay ( located under tank) approximate price is between $20-60 dollars (pls. see catalog listings at end of photo sequence) . I have an additional non BMW, vintage Rickman fairing that includes a complete headlamp assbly. that I will include in the auction, an original BMW backrest, a bike cover as well as an original /6 set of tools/tool roll. BMW Dealer work orders/invoices will reflect 10,000 mile service/overhaul, all new fluids, headset and fork rebuild, new battery, new center stand, tank re-line, new petcocks, brake work, lamp replacements, etc. QUALIFIED/TRULY INTERESTED BIDDERS MAY FEEL FREE TO CALL ME @ 630-842-7994....dreamers please refrain.
