A 1964 MERCURY COMET CALIENTE BUILT IN LA AND THEN SHIPPED TO HAWAII WHERE IT STAYED UNTIL LATE 2009. THIS CAR IS RARE BUT HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO FIND OUT AS IT WAS BUILT A HEATER AND DEFROSTER DELETE BECAUSE OF THE CLIMATE IT WAS SOLD IN. THE CAR IS A 289 4SPEED AND RUNS SUPER I PURCHASED THE CAR OVER THE WINTER AND HAVE INSTALLED A NEW DASH PAD, HEADLINER AND REAR WINDOW WEATHER STRIPPING BECAUSE THE BACK GLASS HAD TO BE REMOVED TO INSTALL THE NEW HEADLINER. GAS TANK IS NEW, ENGINE COMPARTMENT HAS BEEN DETAILED AS SHOWN IN THE PICS. THE MOTOR WAS REBUILT WITH A MILD STREET CAM, IT RUNS STRONG AND TURNS HEADS WHEN GOING THROUGH THE GEARS!!!!!!!!!. ELDEBROCK PERFORMER INTAKE WITH A 600 CFM HOLLEY, HOOKER HEADERS AND A HURST COMP. PLUS SHIFTER, TRANNY SHIFTS SMOOTH AND THE CAR IS FUN TO DRIVE, REALLY SOUNDS MEAN!!!!!!!!!!ALL LIGHTS WORK AS THEY SHOULD. THE UNDERCARRIAGE STILL CARRIES MOST OF THE FACTORY UNDERCOATING, NEW GAS TANK THE PICS TELL THE STORY SO BID WITH CONFIDENCE AS MY FEEDBACK SPEAKS FOR ITSELF!!!!!!!On Jun-29-15 at 16:48:49 PDT, seller added the following information: It's Monday evening and I'm trying to load pics of the undercarriage having trouble. If I do get the pics loaded you can see where the undercarriage still has factory undercoating pealing and area that have been sprayed to protect the bare metal exposed. I'M ALMOST CERTAIN THIS CAR HAS THE ORIGINAL 260 IN IT THAT HAS BEEN BUILT AND NOT A 289 LIKE I WAS TOLD WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR, THAT WOULD MAKE A BIG DIFFERNCE FOR SOME BUYERS!!!!!!!!! The Buyer was Elizabeth Susan Kenner from Honolulu and under Vehicle code it say's Caliente"8" 2 door Hardtop The Car's serial # is typed on that page also 4J23F-514114 The Dealership name was Pfluegner Lincoln Mercury Elizabeth signed it and the President was James Pfluegner Purchased date was 4=21=1964On Jul-04-15 at 04:50:00 PDT, seller added the following information: I AM ALSO INCLUDING A LIKE NEW DEALERSHIP SHOWROOM BOOK ON THIS CAR THAT COVERS ALL MODELS, INTERIOR ALL SPECIFICATIONS RELATING TO THE CAR !IT'S DETAILED COVERING EVERYTHING FROM ENGINE TO BRAKES ALL CAPACATIES,BLOWN UP PICS OF THE INTERIOR AND ENGINE!!!!!!! IT'S 24 PAGES AND IS A REALLY NICE ADDITION TO EVERYTHING ELSE THAT GOES WITH THE CAR, BUT HAVING THE ORIGINAL HAWAII TITLE AND OWNERS MANUAL ALONE WA ENOUGH DOCUMENTATION FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!
