Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE For sale is a complete 1970 Dodge Challenger 383 magnum 335HP 4-speed in burnt orange with matching numbers, VIN#JH23NOB. The car is a complete, drivable car. Everything works, including all electronics from reverse lights (inside and out) to the radio. All glass is good. This car is ready for complete restoration. The perfect numbers matching project car, it comes with the broadcast sheet for documentation and fender tag. It is a one owner car. Current seller is third owner but car was not driven by second or third owners. Car was originally from New York (3 years) then spent the rest of its time in Oklahoma. Speedometer shows 40,000 miles but actual mileage unknown. Needs both front (and possibly rear) floor pans, rear inner and outer quarter panels, trunk floor pan, work on rear frame rails, left front fender, and possibly both inner fenders. There are some small holes in the torsion bar boxes, and possible repair needed to rear tail light valance. No, it’s not a R/T but a recent article in MoPar Collectors Guide referenced another 70 Challenger with a 83-4 barrel that was a JH, not a JS because it was ordered with HP motor just not the R/T package. Dodge did this because insurance companies were using the VIN codes to determine insurance rate. A JH allowed people to get a muscle car, with all the speed and power, and pay base insurance rates. The JH was still a documented car approved by Galen. It had an R/T drive train, was just as fast, but without the R/T badges or VIN, a JH23NOB. According to the code book only 454 of 25,383 were made with this option. Here are some of the special features included with this car: · Numbers matching · 383 Magnum, 335HP · Pistol grip 4-speed (D21) · Center console, Bucket seats · N41 dual exhaust (w/out Tips) · 8 ¾ rear end with 323 gear · FK5 Burnt orange body (one year only) · Burnt orange interior · Black vinyl top · Magnum 500 wheels · VIN#JH23NOB164124 Please review all provided pictures and feel free to ask questions as needed prior to / throughout bidding. Payment accepted through PayPal only. At close of bidding there will be a non-refundable $500 deposit required by seller.
