This is a 1979 Mercedes 6.9 with only 76,800 original miles. There are VERY FEW 6.9's left to be had out there, especially with under 100k miles on the odometer! Silver exterior with Black interior and dark walnut wood trim. The interior leather is in very nice condition, although it could use some repacking of the horsehair for padding in the back bench seat. The door panels, headliner, and wood trim are in outstanding condition, and only the dash has just cracked from sitting without conditioning last few years. I replaced all of the hydropneumatic cells and pumps so the hydraulic leveling system works very well and does not leak. The gas tank was replaced after the car had been sitting for many years. I also replaced the brake system complete including brake calipers, rotors, pads, modified to custom stainless steel braided brake hoses. Unfortunately the car has been sitting for 3 years since I did this work, so the calipers have collected surface rust from sitting , BUT I would imagine it will all clean up with a little TLC , again these are all new parts and professionally installed. We installed an entire new exhaust system as well with catalytic converters and muffler . The body is quite clean with only a small amount of surface rust , which you can see in the video posted below : Email me for a video walk around of the car. This car needs a little bit of work, but these cars are going up in value big time lately and will continue to sky rocket, a car with under 100k miles is very rare and worth investing a new paintjob and figuring out what it's going to take to get the motor running. The engine is currently not running and I don't have the time to look into it at this time. I am moving and need this car sold ASAP. It was running very smoothly and the transmission is confirmed to shift perfectly as well. The car overheated and I it needs to be repaired. These engines are bullet proof so I don't anticipate it will need an entire rebuild, I am no expert , but know these cars pretty well. I have too many other projects and have to let this one go unfortunately. The Lorinser bumpers and hood need to be cleaned up some and painted to match the car, if you don't like them, the 450 SEL bumpers are very inexpensive and readily available.
