1970 Triumph TR6R Trophy A rare opportunity to buy an original "Spring Green" 650 Trophy, numbers matching (Vin #PD31749) , low mileage example which was said to be accurate at 7557 and sold with a Kansas title. This is a two owner bike that has always lived here in the Mid-West, sold originally by Sports Motorcycles in Clay Center KS, and purchased from the 2nd owner in Salina KS. This bike was fitted with a new battery, fresh gas, (the tank was like new inside), new 20/50 oil and a carb clean and the bike started immediately after sitting for over 3 years! After a brief ride the bike pulls well, shifts through all gears, does not smoke and sounds great! The clutch needs adjusting and some general maintenance would need to take place before regular riding but this bike has tremendous potential as a unique patinated rider. All original with the exception of the solid flat track handlebars, the center stand is included but not installed, the head light, horn and tail light work but not the brake light. Good trials universal rear tire, the front will need replacing.The 1970 Triumph models represent the best of the unit 650 bikes before the advent of the oil-in-frame bikes in 1971 and complete original unmolested with examples in this distinctive color are few and far between.
