Vehicle Detail
1968 Dodge Charger - SURVIVOR Being sold by Scotlea Hot Rods, Nowata, Oklahoma Lots of pics available on the Scotlea Hot Rods website in the Current Projects section. This 68 Charger is an amazing survivor car that really needs very little to get it back on the road. It's missing the original engine and transmission so it is NOT numbers matching, but everything else is there. Nicely optioned car: power steering, power brakes, 3-speaker dash, 3-speed wipers, gold w/white vinyl top, tan interior. VIN coded for 290hp 383. Body: amazing condition for it's age. These car are usually completely rusted out. Not this one. The floors are perfect - still painted and not even a pinhole of rust to be found. The rear window has been repaired - new metal welded in and coated with POR-15. The lower rear quarters have very minimal rust and only need small patches. The trunk floor is the worst - it needs replaced - but I'm including new trunk floors panels with the sale. All body trim is intact with exception of rear window (small corner pieces are missing - rest in in the back seat). Front fenders have some dents - nothing that can't be fixed. Passenger quarter is dented - again fixable. Grill is perfect - not a single broken piece!!! Bumpers are straight. Front lower valence has been bent. Hood is not original. Framerails are intact, not rusted, just covered with typical dirt and undercoating. No signs of any damage or wrecks. Overall car is straight and needs minimal body work/repair. Was originally gold with white vinyl top. Interior: All interior pieces are accounted for and in place. Car was originally a tan interior. Dash is complete and unmolested/modified. 3-speaker dash with AM/FM 8-track in place. Seats had been recovered in black. Original seat belts are all there (in a bag in the back seat). Missing headliner and carpet. Package tray has been modified for some reason, but with package tray panel in place you won't see it. All glass good - new windshield gasket installed last week - original windshield - not cracked or chipped. Engine/trans - original engine and trans are missing - did not come with the car when I bought it. I dropped a 1968 dated 383 bare block and heads, along with a working 727 trans in place. All engine bay wiring is intact and in a bag in the back seat. Engine bay is unmolested and complete. Rearend is an 8 3/4 with 3.23 open differential. Questions??? Call or text Patrick at 918-231-3605 or email patrick@scotlea.com Car is rolling - not driving - ready to be restored. Please ask any questions before bidding. Winning bidder to place $500 deposit via Paypal within 24 hours of auction end. If you cannot do this, please do not bid. Remaining payment due within 7 days of auction end via cash, cashiers check or bank transfer. Car and title will not leave until payment is complete - meaning checks must clear the bank. Sorry, but there are people buying cars with fake cashiers checks, and I've been burned before so you check has to clear the bank before you take the car or title. Cash is preferred. Shipping is buyer's responsibility, we can help load onto a trailer or transport. Thanks for looking!!!
