Thanks for clicking. Up for sale is a partially disassembled, ultra-nice 1988 Honda GL1500 with approximately $1500 worth of extras. ALL parts of the bike are included. The bike has 6XK pampered miles and has been meticulously maintained through the years. On a regular basis the bike has been thoroughly deep cleaned and maintained. The previous owner disassembled the bike for cleaning and then suffered a stroke and could not work on or ride the bike and put it up for sale. The photos included in this listing show just how clean this bike is. Here is a list of some of the features of the bike: Compufire power system-generator, battery and regulator. $600 Windshield in excellent condition Reverse gear Intercom Some light bulbs replaced with LED bulbs Electronic cruise control- ‘96 1996 carbs (completely rebuilt) Matching powder coat for forks and wheels Seat and all leather in PRISTINE condition-almost looks new ZERO rust on chrome Honda radio plus extra radio New Kuryakyn driver highway pegs $130 Wiring for heated grips New chrome luggage rack $120 ALL fluids including brake fluid replaced 0 miles ago $250 in professional 1988 and 1996 service and maintenance manuals Tires in good condition This bike is COMPLETE however it will need:1. To have the trunk, saddlebags, center console and trim remounted and radio and running light wiring remounted- ALL wiring is intact. 2. The carb was rebuilt about 400 miles ago and then the bike ran dry and stored however one carb has a stuck float which need to be remedied. Upon start up this season one of the floats stuck and some fuel dumps out while running. The carbs are pretty accessible so this should be a quick fix.. ALL required fasteners, nuts, bolts, etc will be included ALONG with about $100 in additional parts in 4 tackle organizers plus an extra Honda radio/tape unit. Paint/powder coating is in excellent condition except for one 1.25 x 1” paint chip on the corner of one saddlebag. I will guarantee no DOA and that all required components are included with the bike. Buyer is responsible for pick-up or shipping however I will help with minor shipping prep/packaging. Why am I selling? Recently retired, I my hobby has been restoring old motorcycles and in the past two years I’ve restored and sold 6 bikes- all with very satisfied buyers. This was every enjoyable but I found myself doing much more work on bikes than actually riding and enjoying them. Frankly, I've had my fill of working on bikes and am buying a newer, ready-to-ride Aspencade and am going to just ride for a couple years. KBB suggested retail for this bike WITHOUT the extras is around $4000. I have set a very attractive reserve to get this bike moved quickly.
