Restoration just completed on this Beautiful 1968 Volkswagen Westfalia Pop Top Camper.  This bus runs and drives great and is powered by a strong Single Port 1600 cc motor.  Prior to restoration this bus received an extensive tune up from the best VW shop in Wichita, Kansas.  The bus received a valve adjustment, carb cleaned and tuned, oil change and the motor was compression checked.  It starts first turn of the key and is ready to go.  All of the lights, turn signals, reverse lights, etc...work as they should.  The mechanic also adjusted and repaired the brakes, the bus stops very well and does not pull to the right or the left.  This was a very solid bus prior to restoration.  The only new metal that was required was a patch panel for the right side of the front floor.  This panel was purchased from Bus Depot and welded and seam sealed into place.  The rest of the bus only had very small amounts of surface rust, these areas were treated with rust proofing prior to being primered for paint.  After prepping the bus for paint it was repainted with three coats of it's Original Lotus White paint, then it received two coats of clear coat and was buffed to the shine that you see in the pictures.  The bus was painted by a local retired painter that has been painting vehicles for 35 years.  As you can see the bus also received lots of interior work as well.  All of the interior side wood panels were replaced by a local carpenter.  This carpenter also installed the gorgeous new wood floor.  The Original upholstery is in great shape as are the original front door panels.  Finally, the pop top was removed and repainted and a new pop top tent from bus depot was installed.  Below starting from the ground up is a list of what has been done to the bus during restoration. *  Brand New Tires *  Rims Sandblasted and Painted Lotus White *  Brand New VW Early Dome Hubcaps *  Brakes gone through adjusted repaired by local VW mechanic *  Underside of bus has been undercoated with 3M rustproofing *  Engine Work (valve adjustment, carb cleaned and tuned, oil changed, compression check) by local VW mechanic *  New VW Front Emblem *  Front Bumper Removed and Repainted *  New Turn Signal Seals *  New Tail Light Seals *  New Reverse Light Seals *  New Front Windshield *  New Front Windshield Rubber Seal *  New Exterior Rubber Seals for Both Front Doors *  New Sliding Door Rubber Seal *  New Sliding Door Threshold *  New Rear Glass Rubber Seal *  New Engine Hatch Rubber Seal *  Rear Bumper Removed and Repainted *  Bus professionally prepped for paint and primer sealed *  Bus professionally painted with three coats of Original Lotus White Paint and Clear Coated with Two Coats of Clear *  Bus Buffed by professional painter *  New Kick Panels *  New Carpet for the Cabin and Walk Thru Area *  New Interior Side Panels installed by local carpenter (stained and sealed) *  New Wood Floor Installed by local carpenter (stained and sealed) *  Pop Top removed and repainted *  New Pop Top Rubber Seal *  New Luggage Rack Rubber Seal *  New Pop Top Tent (Two tiny tears in Passenger Screen during installation) This bus is ready for your summer adventures and sleeps four comfortably.  There is room for two adults on the fold out bed, one adult in the upstairs cot as well as one child in the childs cot that goes over the front seats.  The bus seats five with seat belts for all five people.  There is ample storage in the gorgeous original Westfalia cabinetry.  Please study the pictures of the bus provided during and after restoration.  Bus is sold As Is Where Is with no Warranty or Guarantee Implied.  Bidders with less than ten transactions on ebay must call before bidding or their bid will be blocked.  Additional pictures available upon request.  Please Email, Call or Text Dave at 316-299-1596 with any additional questions.
