Vehicle Detail

Welcome! Up for bid is this 1971 Suzuki TS125 Duster in Daytona Blue. This is a low mileage bike that has always been cared for...We have owned it about 15 years. The front and rear fenders are NOS original paint Suzuki items. The fuel tank was repainted/restored approximately 10-12 years ago by Jeff Weier. The side covers and emblems are original paint and finish. The chrome on this bike is about as nice as you will ever find for original...look at the pictures and request what you would like to see. The tires are original IRC and the rims are original to the bike. The exhaust has been repainted at some point prior to our ownership. The heat shield is NOS Suzuki and beautiful! The gauge set was NOS about ten years ago and replaced a set that was real nice, but not perfect...Total mielage on the bike is less than 2000 from new. The seat has a couple of nicks in it (see pics). It runs great, but has not been started in a couple years...I will attempt to start it and report back here on running condition before auction end... In summary, this is a SUPER nice, very well maintained, first year Suzuki TS125 in beautiful Daytona Blue. It would cost a ton of cash to duplicate this today even if you could find the parts this bike has on it... Please ask any questions before bidding. Please view all pictures as they are a major part of the description of this item. Bike is sold as-is and as described. Local pick-up or Buyer arranges all shipping. Please email through eBay to discuss what is possible. $500 deposit due with in 24 hours of auction end. Full payment due within seven days of auction end. On Jun-20-15 at 09:54:56 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello all potential bidders:This update is at 12:00 Noon on Saturday 6/20...36 hours until end of auction. It's alive!! The bike had not been started in several years. I filled the fuel bowl, it almost started on the second kick, it did start and run on the third kick! I usually run the carbs dry when putting a bike up for a while and this one had that done as evidenced by the quick start-up. I gave it a quick spin around the yard and all gears operate correctly and effortlessly...as they should. The reason I filled the fuel bowl instead of gassing the tank is because the blue tank has NEVER had fuel in it since Jeff restored it many years ago. It is still bare metal inside (bead blasted to gray/silver metal everywhere as he did for all of his tank restorations at that time) the tank is beautiful. I will leave the pleasure of fueling it for the first time to the new owner! The petcock operates properly. We used another tank when this bike was occasionally ridden. The battery is NOT going to make it in time as they promised, so I will not be able to determine the condition of the lights. I can tell you that everything worked fine last time it was ridden, but cannot say much more at this time. The bike has been stored in a dry indoor location and there is no reason to believe anything is wrong, but for the purpose of this auction, let us say that the condition of the lights is unknown at this time, but believed to be fine based on the last time out before put up for storage. The correct new battery (Yuasa brand) will go with the bike upon pick-up. To make up for this unsure condition of the lights, I am also going to add a three piece set that will convert this bike to Aspen Yellow...These parts consist of a super nice original paint tank (aspen yellow/black stripe) with NO dents and NOS in the wrapper Suzuki front and rear fenders in Aspen yellow. These parts alone would sell for some substantial $$ as a set, so consider these an additional motivation to drive any bidding on this once-in-a-great-while type of bike currently up for bid...I am also including the original owners manual and parts book with the original dealer invoice and clear title for the winning bidder. I look forward to passing this GEM of a bike on to the next caretaker! Thank you all for your interest in this bike and good luck in your bidding...someone is going to get a super nice first year Duster!
