This Stunning 1956 Oval Volkswagen Beetle was acquired in northern California from a VW enthusiast. Socal Resto Inc. turned his restoration dreams into reality, surpassing his expectations with a complete pan-off restoration/resto-mod. All the original parts were restored, supplemented by only premier quality German Original Equipment Manufacturer (O.E.M.) parts. This '56 was purchased from a gentleman in Northern California. He intended upon restoring the car himself as part of a dream he'd been contemplating for years. When he arrived at retirement, he decided to sell the Bug and buy a fishing boat and spend his time on the lake, not in the garage. That works too! In this case, we purchased the beetle, brought it 500 miles south to Ventura and spent 3 months restoring the car. This top notch restoration was completely disassembled, as the process of a comprehensive restoration began. We media blasted with crushed walnut shells, down to the bare metal and repaired the minimal rust and reassembled with the highest caliber of detail and care. The pan was completely repaired, rust repaired and restored. There is no body filler on this car! The media-blasted body was repaired and revitalized with hammer and dolly metal work. The metal work alone was perfected and took over 30 days alone. The pan was fully restored, and a layer of POR-15 was applied to top, bottom and interior of vehicle. The body was prepped, sealed, and painted in a K-7 Black, single stage paint, cleared to ensure long lasting finish. The oval was further color sanded and polished to smooth marble piano shine. Completely rebuilt 1776 cc dual port, dual carb, 90 HP German case engine purchased with 0 miles. Just under 200 break in miles attained. Oil and filter changed, tuned up and ready for long term service. 3 year warranty on engine and power train from our Ventura shop! That warranty is issued on paper at time of sale! Who else is doing that? We've added disc brakes up front and a second master cylinder to power those brakes. Freeway Flyer transmission also! We have lowered the car slightly. If you want this car slammed, we can do that for you. We can change the wheels as of now we have a set of 4+spare Porsche style - EMPI Fuchs replica wheels, brand new with rubber ready to go on the car if you'd like. All mechanical and electrical work performed in house, under the mastery of 50+ combined years of proven craftsmanship, excluding engine rebuilt by renowned Volkswagen re-builder / restorer. We can make additional modifications to the vehicle such as: lowering more than already, engine modifications, interior, accessories, etc! Let us know.
