2006 Honda Element EX 4DR SUVVIN# 5J6YH28716L005413 We have for sale my daughter's 2006 Honda Element EX with 75,056 actual and original miles. We purchased this SUV with 54,738 and she has owned it for the past 20,000 miles. The SUV has a 2.4 Liter 4 Cylinder Engine with an All-Wheel-Drive Automatic Transmission. Car runs and drives great, transmission shifts smoothly. Vehicle is equipped with power windows, power door locks, AM/FM radio, CD player, cold A/C, alloy wheels, a black cloth interior and a burgundy exterior. This Honda was purchased with a Salvage Title from IAA (Insurance Auto Auctions) as a result of a flood from the Sandy Storm of 2012. I realize how much fright a flood vehicle brings to many people and how many questions and how much confusion arises. So, for you own consideration, I will give you as much information as you will ever again see on a flood vehicle. There were many junk flood cars from the Sandy Storm that we simply cut up and parted out. There were, however, many good cars that were barely affected by the water. Because of the extensive damage the storm brought, trucks hauled off entire parking lots filled with cars without looking at them, often locked and with no keys, in the name of efficiency, and simply to save on time amidst the chaos. The water-line on this Element was a little above the floor mats. There was no water inside the engine or the transmission. The floor mats/carpeting is rubber in these Honda Elements so it was easy to clean. The entire wiring along the floor was re-evaluated. Most of the wire plugs/sockets had salt water corrosion and were taken out and replaced. The SUV started right up and ran like nothing ever happened to it. The interior does not have any salt water smell to it what-so-ever. The radio and all the electronics work as they should. There are two warning lights on the speedometer. A check engine light that may or may not have been there before the storm. The OBD Code for your consideration is P2422 "EVAP Canister Vent Shut Stuck Closed", and an airbag light. My daughter has been driving this SUV for the past 20,000 miles with that check engine light without any problems. I've been meaning to replace the EVAP Canister but somehow haven't gotten around to it ever since. The airbag light is on because the airbag module is mounted on the floor and had salt water damage. Just like that check engine light, I've been meaning to install an airbag module but to this day I just haven't. No outer body parts were replaced. The hood has a few small waves/dents in one spot and the driver door has a small dent as well. The Ohio Highway Patrol conducted a Salvage Inspection on the vehicle once the vehicle was repaired and the BMV issued it a Rebuilt Flood Title; admitting it road worthy again. I hope that with this extensive description/information you will see that this truly is a good vehicle and that I have nothing to hide.
