Vehicle Detail
This is a 2003 Honda Element All Wheel drive. I have owned this car for the last 9 years. It has been a very reliable car. It is a southern car, so no rust, other than the aftermarket trailer hitch surface rust (maybe made in china) , but never used. The rest of the car is rust free, the under body is very nice. This is a daily driver and I drive about a thousand miles every 3 weeks. The engine runs smooth, and does not make any unusual noises, and there are no leaks anywhere. I just replaced all the brakes, and they sometimes squeak even though they are new. I think it is because of the ceramic pads I put on instead of regular pads. It has an alarm, and power door locks. I have the privacy curtains it came with , and the car has custom wheels that are 18 inches.with good tires. The only problems are listed below, and the car is sold as is. Something in the drive train makes a grumble at around 15mph, but then goes away and it drives smooth from there out. It started making that noise 2 years ago, and I was waiting for something to break to find out what it is. So far it just makes that noise but still drives fine otherwise. I drive daily about 50 miles per day to work and back, plus on the weekends keeping up with the kids. The check engine light is on, I ran the codes and it was an o2 sensor. I have not changed it. 4 years ago, a lady bent my license plate by rolling into the front. It put a small crease in the bumper so I had her replace the bumper cover. They used an aftermarket bumper and now it is fading. the damage was minor, basically a hairline crease in the bumper cover. The car has had regular oil changes and it does not burn or "use" any oil between oil changes, not does it leak anything. The air blows cold and heat hot. It has 4 good tires. Drivers seat has side bolster wear from use. Seats have set covers on them. Back seats could use cleaning from young kids dropping stuff. No tears though. Car has been very good to me and reliable. Selling as I have 3 kids and a wife, and we can't take everyone in this car. We have had 3 Honda Elements in our family and they all have been great cars. Due to the unknown grumble sound at 15mph, I am selling the car for highest offer. If you are a mechanic, I doubt that issue would be a bug one as it has been like this for 2 years now and doesn't seem to get worse, or stop the car from running like it did other wise. Other than that issue the car really does ride like it should and everything else is like a 50,k mile car. Selling car as is, and will assist with setting up with a car transport if you are not in the area. So far I have seen transports charge around $1.50 per mile, that would be at your expense. I believe I have fully disclosed all potential issues that I am aware of. The car is still a daily driver so mileage will continue to go up as I drive it. Here is a video of the car being driven a few weeks ago, hard to hear noise, car is usually very quiet
