i am listing this for a friend please ask if you have any questions or if you would like more pictures. 1976 vw super beetle convertable. this is a nice driver quality car or a great car if you are looking for a restoration project. they have owned the car since 1989. in 1990 the floors were replaced and the body was repainted.the outer body is in good shape, both doors open and close nice. the paint has a nice shine but does have some chips from being driven but nothing major. it has the fuel injected engine which starts and runs great. the 4 speed maunal transmission shifts fine. it does have an aftermarket exhaust system. has 15" crome wheels and the tires are in good shape. the top was recently replaced as well and the battery. the driver's seat has some wear(see picture) otherwise the interior is in good shape. it has a kenwood cd player and an amp which is located under the rear seat. the car has the "super beetle shake" which starts at 45 mph. they have not looked into this as they were told its a common issue with these cars(could be as easy as rebalacing the tires?). the car has rust in the rails that run under the running boards(see pictures). the heater system was removed and some of the parts are included if wanted to reinstall. car is sold as is so please ask if you have any questions or would like more pictures.
