Up for auction is a 2003 F550 4X4 with a 7.3L Powerstroke Diesel with AC. It has only 68, 344 miles. We bought four trucks from a small town in central Mass. This truck has the lowest mileage but the body needs some help. It starts and runs very well. It does not smoke at all. It has plenty of power and shifts well when driving. The underside is dry with no major leaks. The oil pan has surface rust but is solid. The front tires need to be balanced better due to a wobble at 70mph. I drove this truck about 70 miles back to our Center after we bought it. It runs and drives well except for the front tire issue. It rides a bit stiff with no body on it as it is a 17,500 GVW truck. It was a dump truck in its prior life. The town retained the dump body for a new truck. All of the framework, lift cylinder and central hydraulics were left in tact and are ready for your dump body. The town also retained the plow blade. It is set up and ready for your blade. The frame, axles and running gear are all in good shape. It has Warn hubs on the front axles. We have not pulled the tires and checked the brakes but it does stop well. The rear tires are over half worn but should pass DOT. Paint is factory yellow and in good shape. The weakest park of the truck are the inner rocker panels and cab corners and some floor. They need to be cut out and replaced. A section of the drivers and pass. floor/supports need replacement when the rockers are done as they are rotted. Body rust may not pass DOT in some states. Check your state regulations. This truck can be used as is and is fully functional as is. It is a very sought after truck due to the 7.3 along with factory 4 wheel drive. Measurements are as follows: 141" WB, 60"CA, 34" Frame Rails outside to outside, 9-10' body is optimal. Please remember this is a used 12 year old truck.
