This 2008 Carrera S is a single owner car. There has not been a single maintanence missed, and all work was done either by The Porsche Exchange in Highland Park or, more recently, Loeber Motors in Lincolnwood, Il. I have had an OEM sport shifter installed and also have the original OEM shifter. There is a passport 9500 built into the car, with a small diode on top of the steering wheel stalk that glows green when there are no radar or laser inconveniences around, and glows red when you should step on the amazing brakes. Those brakes, by the way, like the entire car, has been gone over by the service department at Lobber Motors and they, and the car, are in perfect mechanical shape without much wear. There has been a lot of work done on this car in the ordinary course of ownership. Whenever a light came on, or a weird sound came up, into the shop it went. I never once said no to the service department. If they told me something was wrong, old, getting worn, etc, I spent the dough to replace it. This car is a great, great driving machine and more fun than I can say. Yet it was never, ever driven hard except for the very, very few occasions I pushed the "sport button" and went fast. But no abuse of the tranny, brakes or engine. I wanted to own this forever, but it was not to be. Most miles are highway miles, and most (95%) of the driving was done in 6th gear. I used it to get from one site to another in my work. Those sites are far flung, so there are some miles on the car. It was always stored over the harsh winter months at Knauz Car Storage center, and the records of that storage each year are available. I'm embarrassed to say that I never intentionally drove this car in the rain, but that is how careful I've been. If you're lucky enough to get this car you will always have my envy.
