Vehicle Detail

A little history about this bike. I bought it in 2010 and ran 4 GP races on it. Then the piston fragged on it and blew the bottom of the left case out. I moved to Colorado in 2011 and rebuilt the engine from the crank up ( with a different set of cases from another CR 500). The engine is new with a recondition crank, new connecting rod, complete new internal seals and bearings. The piston is a Wiseco piston at 90.00mm or 1.00 over. This means the cylinder has two rebuilds left on it before you will have to have it sleeved. It is currently at 6.8:1 compression, 503 cc and a 79.00mm stroke. This engine has never been started yet, it is brand new. I simply lost interest in the bike after I acquired a different open class bike that I could race in the post vintage pre disk class. I have everything for the bike except the rear fender. If you wanted to finish putting it together I would recommend upper and lower chain rollers, swing arm chain guide, rear fender, new forward controls levers front master cylinder rebuilt kit, and a seat cover ( foam is good).. In the pictures attached you can see that the bike comes with an extra inner and outer right case, two magnetos, extra coil, two transmission set ups with different gearing, complete clutch, other internal pieces, and the original service manual for where it was bought in Pasadena, CA. Please only serious open class bike buyers, would like to see it go to someone who wants to finish restoring it. The main thing the bike has going for it is the new engine. I have priced this bike to sale and have consider what it will cost you as the buyer to pay for shipping. I feel my price is very fair for the "buy now" option. Please take a look around on Ebay for just the motor alone, as well as the price for cases and transmission as a whole by the part. I think you will see that my price is fair. If you want to make a profit by buying it and parting it out, then fine, but that's not my cup of tea. I'd rather just sell the bike as a whole in one purchase. Thanks for looking
