1959 Lincoln Continental Mark IV Convertible NO RESERVE 59 This bright red 1959 Lincoln is looking for a new home. It was recently pulled out of a barn in Michigan and was owned by the same family since it was new. The older gentleman fell ill that owned it and had to sell. It had been started by the owner several times a year but is no means road ready in its current condition. I am selling this car for my friend who is a B dealer, but I am more familiar with Ebay so I am listing it for him. I am describing it as best I can for all the car lovers out there. Don't let the many flaws deter you from the what this car could be with the right amount of repairs, money , and time. If I didn't have too many projects already I would buy this car from this guy right now. But I will let the new buyer live the dream for me! This is definitely a project car and won't be at any dream cruises this year...But this sweet ride is ready to be restored by its next owner. The top works but needs help. I got it down once no problem but had to assist it up and had trouble getting it to re-latch. It has no exterior rips that i can see and the seats and interior is in great condition for the age. It may have been re-done at some point in its life. I put some good gas in the tank and pour just a small amount in the carb and it fires right up. At times it takes a few minutes but will definitely run on its own. The condition of the engine is questionable but is intact as far as I can tell. This is an Original Michigan car so It has some rust on the body that you can see and will need floor pans right away. I have not had this car up in the air on a lift but I can tell the floor is very weak on the drivers side. Like I said this car will need some work to be a dream cruiser again. The The tires are newer on this car but I would definitely recommend changing the wheels to match the era of the car. The battery is newer as well. This amazing 1959 piece of history Is fire engine red and has been re-painted at some point and will need to be ainted again..there is a heavy imperfection on the passenger side, rust near the bottom of the car...and many paint chips all over.
