This 1984 Ford Mustang has only 42k original miles. 100% original paint. No accidents, damage, scratches, or dings. All original interior still looks new. Everything works including all lights, power windows, gauges, etc. This is the cleanest, most original, amazing 31 year old Mustang 5.0 I have ever seen. People can't believe it when they see it. Loaded with factory options including the high output 302 V8 (5.0L) with the 5-speed manual transmission and track lock rear axle. A/C, P/W,P/L,Tilt Wheel, Cruise, Factory Premium Sound System, and more. This is the story of this car. Way back in 1984 an electrical engineer from San Jose, CA decided he wanted to buy a brand new 5.0 Mustang. He soon realized that the Mustang GT was only available in the hatchback and not the lighter notchback coupe. So he placed a special order for a Mustang LX with all the GT options. Starting with the 5.0 H.O. engine, 5-speed Manual Transmission, performance suspension, center console, full gauges, sport seats, upgraded Michelin TRX wheel/tire package, VIP Package with upgraded stereo with built in amplifier and cassette player, floor mats, Tilt steering, Cruise Control, Rear Window Defroster, A/C, Heavy Duty Battery, Power Windows, Power Door Locks, and more. He took delivery in May 1984 and drove the car for three years and 42k miles. He then wanted to add the only option he couldn't special order from the factory on the LX dual exhaust. All LX's only had a single exhaust. So he found a very low mile GT car in 1987 that was totaled and purchased the factory dual exhaust parts. Then, went to the Ford dealer to purchase all new bolts, clamps, and rubber hangers. He tried to install the parts himself in the garage, but couldn't wrestle the factory exhaust over the rear axle. so there it sat under a cover for 20+ years. When I saw the car I purchased it instantly from the original owner. The interior still smelled like a new car. I completed the dual exhaust install with all the factory Ford parts that came with the car in the trunk. I purchased a new Ford Motorcraft battery and completed a full service with all new fluids, plugs, etc. I turned the key and it ran like a new car! I charged up the A/C.I then found a NOS (new Old Stock) set of for Michelin TRX 390mm tires. (discontinued for over 15 years) and installed them on the car. I cleaned the car and added three coats of wax and it looked new again. It has been in my garage for years. I only drive it every few months just to keep the battery up. I am selling the car because I think someone could get more use out of this car than me. I LOVE THIS CAR! I will probable regret selling it, and know I will never find a better one. Include with this car is all the documentation, original MSRP window sticker, owners manuals, factory order/invoice paperwork, both sets of the originals keys, original title (pink slip), Dealer plate frames, full set of factory shop manuals, dealer sales literature from 1984, and more.
