It is an industry phenomenon, and the fascination with this evergreen sports is still capturing new fans today as much as it did after its launch in 1963. In the world of Porschephiles there is the concours group, the track guys, the cruisers, the valet at the martini bar group ...and the Outlaws. An outlaw follows no rules, but speed and style. Born from the weekend warriors and privateers of the 1960's, modifications were fabricated around necessity to successfully compete and supported by the Sports Purpose program of Porsche. And whereas perfect bone-stock 911s can be seen at concours events anywhere, to really witness what Porsche built these cars for, you need to experience the thrill of an Outlaw. Completed on the 23rd of June 1969, this 911E Karmann Coupe was factory finished in Slate Gray paint over Red Leather seats, well optioned with Leather, Electric Sun Roof, Tinted Glass, Antenna, Blaupunkt Radio, Light Metal Wheels and Michelin tires. Still wearing its correct and widely regarded as the most desirable 911 color combination, 119220924 has received quite a bit of attention in recent years to its cosmetics and mechanical systems. Capable as an everyday runner, this Outlaw has been upgrade to a higher output 1972 2.4L T motor. With excellent compression across all cylinders and a recent engine-out service including a fresh clutch, main seals, rubber boots, engine and transmission mounts, all shifter and shaft bushings, coil, plugs, ignition components, as well as all filters and fluids. Exterior highlights include an aggressive lowered stance, slightly flared rear fenders, 15" staggered polished Fuchs with performance radials, steel "S" front bumper, vinyl side scripts, early sealed swb headlights and wipers. The cabin features striking red upholstery with complimenting wool pepita/houndstooth inserts, factory radio delete, pair of Camero rally stop watches, luggage straps and of course the coveted electric sliding sunroof. Much like the interior, both engine and luggage compartments appear nicely detailed and tidy, including the undercarriage. This 911 shows well for its purpose and ideally suited for a spirited driver. The Southern Outlaw thrives in a variety of road conditions - eager to please around every bend or open straightaway, and is accompanied with spare assembly and Porsche Certificate of Authenticity. Overall a beautiful car to behold and a thrilling driver that will surely draw attention anywhere it's seen! $98,500.00 Offers Invited Full Resolution Photos: 1969 Porsche 911E Southern Outlaw (right-click open new tab) Video Link: 1969 Porsche 911E Southern Outlaw (right-click open new tab) To learn more about this vehicle, please contact our sales department at (281) 497-1000 or sales@driversource.com Selling Made Simple.
