1961 Ford F-100 unibody, short bed truck. Rare first year short bed version of Ford's innovative unibody truck. Original mint green was a one year only feature on this neat old truck and it now has a wonderful patina. It was a 292 V8 to begin with, but this has since been replaced with a rebuilt 1961 223 6 cylinder. The ID tag on the glovebox door shows the following: WB Color Model Trans Axle 114 S F100 A 11 The stock 3-speed works well, rear end gears are 3:70 in the 9" and the truck drives great, for a 50+ year old truck! turns heads at every gas station! Sand blasted rims with new tires. As can be seen in the pictures, the body is very straight and clean, minor surface rust and dings with rust through confined to the pickup bed and passenger side front cab mount. Doors do open and close well, cab floors are very good with no rot in either cab floor or door wells. Inside the bed does have rust through but I will include a replacement 1961 bed floor to repair this damage. Original tailgate works fine but has rust in both lower corners. Inside the truck, the seat has been professionally restored with new stuffing and quality fabric and a new rubber floor mat. Door glass winds up and down, locks work, lights and heater work and a new windshield and seal have been installed with a new rear window seal too. Ready to use, drive home, restore, shop truck or restomod.
