Two-owner, low mileage, extremely rare, mechanically and cosmetically perfect V-12 long wheelbase E38 BMW.Probably THE nicest 1999 BMW of any kind in America, definitely THE nicest E38 750iL in America, and I've seen a lot because I'm a car collector and automotive investment expert.Original owner bought this car for about $90,000 new in Houston, and only put 45K miles on it. I'm the second owner and it now has only 56,078 miles on it, now in Pinehurst, NC, so this car has NEVER seen salt nor snow nor ice--a perfect Southern car. I've turned this car into a mechanically perfect, almost museum-quality show car, clay barring and waxing it every 6 months, rarely driving in the rain, changing every fluid (Redline 5w-40 motor oil, Redline rear differential gear oil, new BMW transmission fluid, new BMW coolant, and recharging the A/C freon) for longevity. The leather is like new, with Lexol conditoner applied every 4 months, and everything vinyl or plastic or rubber has had Vinylex and Armor-All applied several times.Only 1032 12-cylinder E38 BMW's were ever made, and only a few hundred came to America. BMW Club experts say this is THE best 12-cylinder motor BMW ever made (most reliable and sturdy), and the last great, reliable, traditional and great-looking BMW---the last truly great and reliable BMW!No accidents, no dents, only "defect" is a couple brush-mark barely-visible slight scratches on the trunk that could probably be buffed out.Even the steering wheel leather is in perfect condition! AND IT HAS HEATED FRONT AND REAR SEATS AND HEATED STEERING WHEEL!!It also has the very rare factory 18-inch BBS-style wheels. I've never seen these wheels on any other 750iL or 740iL--they are very special. Also has headlight washers and cabin air filters that I just replaced.If you don't know, EVERY BMW breaks its water pump around 60K miles because the impeller blades are made of cheap plastic. AND every BMW ever made also has the coolant expansion tank crack around the same time for the same reason. This car has had BOTH of those factory-defective parts replaced, and this new water pump has a factory lifetime warranty now. All the belts and hoses were also replaced with the new water pump, thermostat, and fuel filter. It even has new wipers! So this car is mechanically and cosmetically perfect. It was the top-of-the-line and most expensive BMW made in 1999, and this one still looks AND DRIVES like brand-new! This car does not burn a drop of oil nor coolant, does not leak a drop of any fluid anywhere, and drives like a brand new BMW, which is very special compared to other cars. It also has two batteries, both of which are brand-new from the BMW dealer here.AND I have never gotten less than 20 MPG around town and 22-23 mpg on the highway!! This is a fast 12-cylinder BMW limousine that weighs 4300 pounds, AND IT GETS GAS MILEAGE AS GOOD AS A BRAND NEW NISSAN MAXIMA OR CHEVY IMPALA!! Which would you rather drive, when this BMW costs HALF as much as these new cars?!This car also has awesome privacy/sun screens that pop up and block people from looking in on both rear side windows AND the rear window, so people can't see any movie stars who might be riding in the back seats. AND it has moveable FOOT RESTS for the rear passengers AND power adjustable REAR SEATS! It's unbelievable luxury, comfort, and privacy! You FEEL like a movie star riding in the back! This V-8 is one of the worst motors BMW ever made!! I've been in the BMW Car Club of America for 11 years, and EVERY expert says to stay away from the 740/740iL, as well as the 840 coupes from the same time period. THESE V-8'S ARE GRENADES AND WILL SELF-DESTRUCT AT SOME POINT!! THIS IS WHY these cars are so common AND so cheap---they are junk motors and will cause constant expensive repair bills. ****TO THE EXTREME CONTRARY, the 750i, 750iL, and 850 V-12 motors ARE JUST ABOUT THE MOST RELIABLE MOTORS BMW HAS EVER BUILT!! These V-12's are bullet-proof, but they only sold a few hundred in America. The stupid people who bought these cars new didn't see the need to spend the extra money for a V-12, so there are 4-5 times as many 740's than there are 750's. But DO NOT BUY A V-8 740/740L/840 coupe because the motors are GARBAGE!! Spend the extra money to get a V-12 750!!! Mike Miller from the BMW CCA LOVES these V-12's, and says they will easily go 200,000 to 300,000 miles with no breakdowns!! He says this motor is the PINNACLE of traditional BMW reliablity, and every BMW made since the E38 V-12 is too complicated and unreliable. This E38 V-12 is probably the most robust and reliable motor BMW has ever made!! BUYERS BE WARE!! *****Be aware that Valentine's Day is the ending date for this vehicle auction! There is a LOT of room in the back seats (hint, hint!!), and the REAR seats are also HEATED and they are power adjustable, and they have moveable headrests! And there are PRIVACY SCREENS that pop up electrically to block the view in the rear window and ALL the side windows!! This is a stealth limousine for hot movie stars, and you can get BUSY IN THE BACK for Valentine's Day and its got more room, leather , comfort, and foot rests---plus PRIVACY SCREENS and heated rear seats! THIS is a sports car, with a fast, smooth 12-cylinder motor, and a luxurious limousine that gets 20 mpg---the best of all worlds! And it LOOKS like a real BMW--the nice classic style. It doesn't look like a Hyundai or an Accord the way today's 7-series does. And do you have $ 170,000 for a brand-new V-12 750iL BMW?!
