This VW Bus was taken off the road more than 20 years ago for unknown reasons by the elderly gentleman that bought it brand new in 1979 It has sat completely untouched for all this time! The odometer shows a very low 30k miles that, by the looks of the interior and the condition of the drivers seat could actually prove the mileage to be correct! VW only used 5 digit odometers back then so the true mileage is obviously unknown! Opening the doors of this bus are like opening a time capsule! Its in a remarkable preserved state! The seats are in great condition and the headliner is just beautiful! The front floors and rocker panels are in very good rust free condition as well! Please look the pictures over and see for yourself how solid this bus really is. All the door seals are in great condition, still soft and useable. The engine is a 2.0 Liter air cooled VW engine. The engine and manual transmission are all original. They have not been started in a very long time so Im sure the fuel system and other things will need cleaned and gone through. Like i said this bus will come back to life in no time at all with some tender lovin care! It will need things like a new battery, new tires and im sure the brakes gone over or replaced as well . I was told by the previous owner that this van was running when parked 20 years ago. This is a very solid bus with hardly any rust through at all on the body. It is mostly just surface scabs from leaves laying on it. there are only a few places where rust is through and they are not that bad at all. The paint is all original to my knowledge and has never been in an accident. The frame is very solid and the suspension looks good. This is not your typical nasty rust bucket, it is a good solid original bus with only minor rust through. As you can see in the pictures the interior is exceptionally nice, and in great condition possibly verifying the mileage at 30k original miles! It will need a new windshield because a rock came out from a mower and broke it a number of years ago. Please keep in mind that this is an older vehicle and you may have to work on it. As with any older used vehicle you can expect, but not limited to - dirt, dents, dings, chips, scabs, rust, fading paint, mechanical issues, and or any other normal wear and tear issues that comes with an used vehicle.
