Vehicle Detail
We bought this LE AWD S/C Previa from a private seller down south in 2008. We've owned it for 7 years and it has been a great vehicle for us. During that time we've had a lot of things repaired on it, including the SAD shaft, the air conditioning, battery, window switches, etc. We kept it garaged the entire time we've owned it, which is why it's so clean. Last week the radiator sprung a leak in our garage. My wife really loves the van and wanted to repair it, but we both decided the van is too old to sink any more money into it. Selling it as is for parts or for the person who wants to fix it up and restore it. As it stands today, the van is sitting outside in the cold for the first time, and we are getting hit with a snowstorm this week. Van is sold as pickup only, or you arrange all shipping. Title is clear. Mileage is 188,000 (approx), it's too cold to go out and check! Oh, one last thing, this is the same model/color of van as used in the Breaking Bad TV series, but I assure you no crack was smoked inside it! On Jan-05-15 at 04:20:44 PST, seller added the following information: A few areas of clarification about the van I'm selling: 1) I am not an auto repair specialist. I cannot estimate repairs for you. Even repair shops charge a fee just to analyze your vehicle to tell you what it might need, so how can I, a novice car owner, even attempt to tell you what any repairs would cost? I suggest using "automd repair cost" (Google it) if you need to estimate the cost of a new radiator for a Previa. But if I were buying this vehicle, I would estimate the worst and assume that it also needs new tires, new brake pads, new drums and rotors, new battery, new spark plugs and wires, perhaps even a new engine since it's got 188,000+ miles on it. You can buy a new Previa supercharged engine on eBay for around $1400. 2) To clarify some questions regarding whether the van was driven without coolant or not, that I can't tell you. What I can tell you is my wife noticed a pool of coolant below her vehicle in the garage, leaking out from under her van. I told her not to drive it. She never noticed any overheating warning light come on at any time. She never noticed coolant leaking at any other time. The van has never burned oil the entire time we've owned it. There are no clouds of white exhaust smoke pouring out the back of the van. Be that as it may, there is a chance that the engine light is burnt out and never registered the engine overheating, which could result in costly engine repairs. I can't speculate and I'm not going to because I'm selling this van for parts and a fixer upper. 3) The van is an All Trac, AWD vehicle. It will need to be towed on a flatbed trailer. 4) I have the van listed for sale elsewhere. If I end up selling it outside of eBay, I will cancel all bids and remove the van from the listing. 5) There are no returns on this van. It is being sold as-is, broken, in need of repair, for parts or as a fixer-upper. Please keep that in mind before bidding. On Jan-05-15 at 05:39:17 PST, seller added the following information: Kelly Blue Book lists this van at $3000 for fair condition, $3400 for good condition, and $3750 for excellent condition. Based on the descriptions below, I would rate this van good condition: Fair - 18% of all cars we value Has some cosmetic defects that require repairing and/or replacing Requires some mechanical repairsThe paint and bodywork may require refinishing and body repairThe engine compartment has leaks and may require repairsMay have some repairable rust damageThe body has dents, chips, and/or scratchesThe interior has substantial wear, and may have small tearsWheels may be warped or bent, have major scratches, scrapes, or pitting and require replacementThe tires may not match and need replacingNeeds servicing, but is still in reasonable running condition with a clean title historyA few service records are available Good - 54% of all cars we value Has some repairable cosmetic defects and is free of major mechanical problems May need some servicingThe paint and bodywork may require minor touch-upsThe engine compartment may have minor leaksHas only minor rust, if anyThe body may have minor scratches or dingsThe interior has minor blemishes characteristic of normal wearWheels may have minor repairable scratches or scrapesAll tires match and have 50% or more of tread remainingThough it may need some reconditioning, it has a clean title history and will pass a safety and smog inspectionSome service records are available On Jan-09-15 at 03:59:09 PST, seller added the following information: ATTENTION: Payment/Shipping clarification: 1) If you SHIP the vehicle via uShip or similar service, I can accept CASH or PAYPAL. 2) If you PICK UP the vehicle in person or have it TOWED, I can only accept CASH. The reason for this is there is no seller protection with pickup items since there is no proof of delivery, and Paypal payments can be reversed since the buyer can say they never received it. This is unfortunate, but the way the Paypal/eBay system works. Again, CASH only if you pick up the vehicle or have it towed. PAYPAL or CASH if you have it shipped. Please keep this in mind when bidding. Also, as it stands today, I have no intention of ending the auction early to sell to a local buyer. The van will sell on Sunday. On Jan-11-15 at 05:20:38 PST, seller added the following information: Someone requested some photos of the underside of the van to show any rust. We had some snow in the past week but I was able to take some last night and uploaded them in the photo section.
