1959 Ford Thunderbird Two Door Hardtop. This is a very original Thunderbird with only 73,826 miles. The car was purchase in Utah and was bought from the second owner. It is fully loaded with the options Ford offered in 1959. It has power windows, power seat, HP 352 Engine, and Automatic Transmission. The engines runs good and the car shifts smoothly. All of the power windows work properly and the lights are in working order. Please look closely at all of the photos. If you need additional photos, please let me know. The reserve on the Thunderbird is very low. The car is an excellent candidate for restoration or a minor brush up to keep it as close to original as possible. The car has its original paint, interior, and drivetrain. The chrome bumpers and trim are in very good condition. All of the glass windows are in excellent condition. I have a clear Utah Title for the Thunderbird. There are no rust problems in the floors or frame, and the minor rust in the rear quarter panel has been cut out in preparation for repair. I highly value my 100% positive feedback score on Ebay. With this in mind, I want to list the problem areas of the car in detail. I want the new owner to know exactly what they are buying. First, the originality of the car is unique. The doors, hood, trunk, open and close like a new car. The problem areas are as follows: 1. There was rust cut out of the passenger's side rear quarter in preparation for repair. The new body panels needed for the repair come with the car. 2. The rear muffler was also rusted and were removed. Because the mufflers have been removed, the car sounds like a "hotrod." This is an easy repair, but the rear muffler will need to be added. 3. It is missing the hubcaps and fender skirts. 4. The air-conditioning unit was removed for repair and some of the parts are missing. It has the compressor, air-conditioning radiator, and other parts, but I think some smaller air-conditioning parts are missing. 5 The passenger's side front brake grabs. The brakes work, but the wheel cylinder on the passenger's side front appears to need repair. Again, please look closely at all of the photos. On Dec-20-14 at 05:52:35 PST, seller added the following information: It comes with the original owner's manual, the original Sales contract from the Utah Ford dealership, and receipts that document the mileage. On Dec-21-14 at 16:29:56 PST, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention that the Thunderbird has a new NOS gas tank and fuel pump. These parts were needed to get it running and driving. The old gas tank was full of bad fuel and it plugged up the fuel pump. The replacement of the gas tank and fuel pump were necessary in order to get the Thunderbird running and driving after it had sat in covered storage for many years.
