1967 Volksrod just Painted in the Spring 2013 Body: Down to bare steel then chopped about 4.75 inches. Tip out windshield, rear side windows reshaped (back corner pulled about 4 inches forward to make the windows look shorter than the door glass) a REAL 61 roof clip added. Epoxy primer, the 2 steps of 2k primer then painted with ChromaBase and clear. Custom color. The wheel wells done with Bedlinner. The car is polished and looks very nice. Frame: 1973 IRS pan with a IRS arm flip. New floors, lines, cables, and black bedlinner on the underside. The front is a tube axle hairpin style frontend. New CV shafts, big foot pedal kit. Alum. round fuel tank under the front hood, custom made with a fuel level sender. Powertrain: 2110 type 1 CB super case and many CB parts. Heads bench flowed and 1.4 AutoCrafter rockers. Twin new 44 HPMI carbs, S/S oil lines and remote filter and cooler. The header is S/S sidewinder from the VW speed shop in the UK. Rebuilt IRS freeway flyer trans with a 388 ring with a kennedy clutch. Front Disk brakes, GM Wheels are real American Racing Salt Flat wheels and like new tires. Misc: The car was completely rewired with a painless TYPE fusebox. New headlinner and intr. vinyl around the rear windows. New top from SewFine in Co. gauges are custom from SpeedHut and have a GPS speedo, fuel level, oil psi, tach. Dash was cut out and replaced with a shortened 1947 Desoto dash Front seats are newer Rodeo seats. What does it still need: Carpet and seats refinished, Door glass, Car is very low, but has allot of room in it.
