Fully restored to concourse level and numbers matching car. Driven approximately 2400 miles since restoration. Rare factory options and color. Factory A/C, tilt steering, power windows, remote side mirror, power steering, power brakes, second radio speaker mounted in the center of the rear seatback and posi traction rear. Dealer installed options. Cruise control, upgrade SS spoke hubcaps, walnut steering wheel ( the perfect condition stock steering wheel comes with the car). Driven sparingly and never wet. Radial tires installed for driveability. I have almost brand new Silvertown bias ply replicas with the correct width whitewalls on wheels which go with the car along with perfect standard SS hubcaps. I also have replica rubber floor mats that are period correct for the car and have been covered in the front with modern day carpeted SS mats that you see in the pictures. The "correct" rubber mats are perfect and unmarked. True SS, 325 Horse Power 409 car with factory 4 speed. Saddle Tan Poly unlike most red or white Impala SS's. Car is in near perfect condition but it is a driver. AM radio converted to "stealth" FM stereo ( undetectable ). No rust whatsoever. Honest fully restored factory correct car. Done correctly right down to nuts, bolts, hoses and clamps. Modern replica battery. Dual antennaes. The factory Muncie "lockout" shifter, which are notorious for linkage problems has been replaced with a Hurst shifter for reliability and drive ability. Near perfect car. I emphasize the word near because I have been driving the car since I have owned it, albeit sparingly. Anyone who knows these cars knows that when you drive them, they are rarely perfect, but the car has never been rained on or washed with water since I have owned it for over 6 years, Covered in the garage always. Please be serious too. : I have had several inquiries both on and off of eBay as to whether or not this is a "numbers matching" car. So I have done my homework since having a gentleman look first hand at the car and point out what he thought were inconsistencies. Turns out after doing my online homework and consulting with some people very versed in this info, this is an engine numbers matching car. The front pad of the block is stamped with the numbers /letters S163943. These characters match the VIN number on the title and decode as follows;S = St Louis ( city engine was manufactured in )163943 ( means this was the 63,943 rd engine manufactured in that model year ). You deduct 100,000 from those numerals to arrive at the correct production sequenceThe front pad of the block is also stamped with the numbers/letters TI022QC. This decodes as the T meaning Tonawanda, NY as the plant that the engine was manufactured in. I0 means the engine was manufactured in October ( please note that a capitol I was sometimes stamped instead of a 1). 22 means the engine was manufactured on the 22nd day of the month (October). QC is the code for 409 engine.Now I went to the data tag mounted on the car and the car build date code is 11D. This decodes as the car ( not the engine) being produced in November (11) during the fourth week (D). The kicker here is that on an engine numbers matching car the engine will be manufactured approximately 2 weeks to 2 months or so BEFORE the car is manufactured, which of course makes perfect sense. If the car build date is prior to the engine build date, then you know something doesn't make sense and it would not be the original motor installed in that car at the factory.The engine on this car was built on 10/22 and the car was built in the 4th week of November, therefore it is accurate to state that this is an engine numbers matching car.
