Backdrafts are not just kit cars, they are turnkey cars that come assembled from the factory. You have a selection of engines, transmissions and other components. Doors, hood and trunk are double skinned for added rigidity. Steel inserts are added in key areas for added durability and strength. Frame is 2"x4" rectangular steel frame with 3mm wall thickness. Only Backdraft's have deep leg tunnels to fit drivers up to 6'4". Extra heat insulation is added around the floor tunnel to keep heat out of the passenger compartment. This Cobra has never been raced, rallied, rained on or spend much time on an interstate. Tourneau cover and car cover fit easily in the trunk if needed. This Roush 427R has been carefully cared for. All service work has been performed by Hurricane Performance in Jacksonville, FL.. The engine runs very strong and has never over heated with it's aluminum radiator and thermostatically controlled electric fans. All Backdraft Cobra's are titled as "1965". Classic car insurance companies classify these vehicles as a classic 1965 resulting in significant savings over regular car insurance. Built as a race car at a total weight of approximately 2,200 pounds, Backdraft Cobra's mean business. I have never had a car that I have enjoyed so much.
