What we have here is an original numbers matching 327/300 4 speed 1969 Corvette convertible. Car originated in California some 28 years ago when it was acquired from the second owner and driven cross country to Long Island, New York where it currently resides and has been parked outside over the last 15 years and not started or driven. The cars overall condition is worn and weathered. The car will need a complete restoration in order to be enjoyed again as it once was. The engine has not been started in 15 years and I’d bet it’s frozen solid or seized. The body is in remarkably good shape with only minor repairs needed and a re-spray in Monza Red in order to look good again. All glass is good and bumper will need re-chroming. The interior will need a total revamp. This to include all instrumentation and dash pad along with seats and carpet. Door panels I think can be salvaged. Now the good thing with this car is that even though it’s been outdoors for 15 years subject to the elements, the chassis is still solid and not in need of repair. This is a pretty rare thing to see with any early year Corvette. You know the areas just before the rear wheels. I’m guessing the California climate saved this car from the dreaded chassis root. The car still retains its original numbers matching driveline along with its original Monza Red (2nd paint job) exterior and black vinyl interior. Being its original and having never been disassembled. I would think the tank sticker is still intact over the fuel tank. Which by the way still has 15 year old stinky now old lawn mower gas in it. Options that I see the car is equipped with are: Power steering, deluxe full wheel covers and an AM-FM radio. Not aware of the transmission or rear differential ratios. It is however a full matching numbers car originally from California. It could be a perfect candidate for someone to restore or part out for another project they are working on. Remember, it’s a Monza Red car with a 4 speed. That along is always a good combination. I’ve posted a number of photos to give you an idea of what it looks like. I also think I gave you a pretty good idea of what you’re up against in doing a restoration. No secrets here, no surprises. It is what it is. The correct engine size is the 350 Cubic Inch engine with a rating of 300 Horsepower. Sorry for any inconvenience. So I've taken some addional photos and can email them too you at your request. I've also taken a photo of a box of additional misc. parts including the original Air injection reactor pump or A.I.R. Pump and brackets.
