1965 Sunbeam Tiger MK1....Rare Original Black Color Code Car with Red Interior(currently painted Red of course). The VIN and JAL have never been removed. As you can see the cowl where the VIN/JAL are attached still shows the original black paint. I checked the numbers with Norm (Tiger Registry) and they all match including the lock cylinders. The car has very little rust...there is bubbling in the paint on the exterior rockers below.the doors...the undercarriage is pretty clean as seen in the pics. The soft top is in good condition. The paint presents well in the pics, but has lots of touch up and some peeling paint around the hood area. The window glass is in great condition and the windows roll up and down smoothly. It also comes with an unrestored hardtop which needs TLC. The original 260 V8 was replaced with a 302 and the 302 block in currently in the car. The previous owner (a Tiger Club founding member) was in process of fitting a T-5 transmission which it currently has mated to the 302 block...the car also comes with the numbers matching 4 speed Top Loader. The car is also currently sporting the rare 1st generation Cosmic wheels from England with brand new tires. The wheels are in good shape overall with flaking paint. Included in the sale are many of the original engine parts seen in the pics...fan shroud, exhaust manifolds, etc. This rare color car is an excellent restoration candidate with little rust.
