Hello Ebayers and Chevy truck enthusiasts . What you are looking at is ... Well its pretty much a brand new 1976 chevy truck . This truck is clean through out , almost everything in this truck is either new or rebuilt , and very nicely done. This is my brothers truck , he has asked me to list it for him so for any in depth questions you may have , send me a message and i will give you a phone number to contact him at . After reading , Please feel free to follow the youtube link at the bottom to see a short walkaround video and hear the truck running. This build started last spring with a 1976 Chevrolet 3/4 ton 4x4. Once the chasis was bare , it was cleaned and completely coated with POR-15 to help guard against any future rust . New fuel lines were ran and brake lines . there may have been one or two steel brake lines that were already in excellent shape already so they did not get replaced. The 4:11 geared 14 bolt full floater was removed and completely rebuilt with all new bearings and seals and then it was treated to a Disc Brake conversion . The front " Big Bearing " Dana 44 was removed as well and got the same treatment of all new bearings , seals , U-joints , ball joints , tie rod and steering stabilizer and was then fitted with Warn " Gold" lockouts . Before the axles were slung back in place , the suspension was upgraded with a mild 2" Rough Country suspension lift and 2.0 shocks on all 4 corners. Once they were back under the truck , the steering box was removed and rebuilt along with new drag link . All Chasis parts were top shelf Moog , not your standard black and white box autozone garbage. The " Hard to Find" 8.25x16.5 " Camper Special " steel wheels were then powder coated in Classic White and wrapped in 33x12.50 Steel Radial Mud Trac tires , topped off with the nicest set of Original factory caps that could be found. The original trans and transfer case were then removed AND REPLACED . With a fresh TH400 /NP 205 combo . The trasfer case was completely gutted and rebuilt with all new gears , bearings and seals . The TH400 was a fresh rebuild as well , both were then repainted and installed with all new drive shaft U-joints front and rear. Being a factory Big Block truck , it only seemed right to discard the tired small block that had found its way between the fenders and replace it as well. So a fresh 454 BBC was built for it to help the motorvate it down the road. It was then fitted with a set of Heddman HTC coated headers plumbed to 3 " exhaust coupled to a set of 3.5" flowmasters . A new Direct fit Aluminum Radiator was then installed to keep the rat motor cooled. When it came to the body , It started with California rust free Sheet metal along with brand new doors. All undersides were treated with POR-15 . The cab was completely gutted and great lengths were taken to make sure every nook and crany were sealed and coated . While it was down , a new heater core was installed along with new hoses . The heater will run you out ! Once all the panels were prepped , It was shot with PPG 1975 Chevy Hugger Orange inside and out and1976 Chevy Classic White top. The bumpers were then blasted and powder coated in the same classic white to match the wheels. Afterwards the inside of the bed was shot with Sem-Protex bedliner systems . The inside of the tailgate was not lined " black is to hot to sit on in the sun " The truck was assembled with roughly 90% new hardware sparing some hood hing bolts , etc. The interior is the same orange with Black panels . The Dash is beautiful with the exception of 2 small inch and a half long cracks right on the speaker and the seat has the tear in the driver side " see Pics " Also has a very nice sounding CD stereo and vintage Cobra CB. Overall , you are not going to be disappointed with this truck . It runs very very VERY STRONG ! Drives straight and truer than when it was new and stops on a dime . When my brother built this truck , he wanted a fairly stock looking chevy with alot more oomph and to be trouble and worry free . He accomplished it . This is the nicest old chevy 4wd ive ever had the pleasure of driving. Included in the sale is the NOS Hood insulation mat that he just tracked down , He has not painted the underside of the hood because he was waiting to find the mat . So the Mat will come with the truck in the sale for you to install if you so choose. Now for the buisness end . The truck is located here in Shelbyville IL 62565 .
