Vehicle Detail

* I bought her off the dealer lot new in March of 2000 in Virginia. She's been with me for many miles and after the summer of 2000 here hitting the easy trails, we settled here in Colorado in 2001. She enjoys easy to moderate off-road trails, but is a stock 4Runner with no off-road specific mods. * I think she'd make a great base for an off-road build. We're not wrenchers, though, so building her up ourselves is not really an option for us. I'd like to find her a new home where she'll get some ongoing tender loving care and maybe a second career. :0) An on-road future is good too of course!* We do have a loan with our credit union secured with her as collateral, so there will be some delay between purchase/possession and receipt of title as we'll have to pay off the loan first. They're usually very quick about it though, less than a week the last vehicle we paid off. * I do not have maintenance logs for her (I was a newbie car owner when I got her and had no idea the potential value of tracking it all meticulously; I now have reams of receipts and such for the vehicles we've gotten since then, but that doesn't help in her case). * She hasn't seen that much use over the past 6 years as hubby and I have motorcycles we use for most daily travel and take his Jeep when we want to run trails. She mostly now goes back and forth to the doggie park and to/from tests and trials. Yes, there's dog hair everywhere that I'll clean as best I can before viewing and again before possession, but if you're highly allergic be forewarned there might be a hair or two left. * The driver's side has a dent / scratch along the side. That happened 12 years ago, along with the dents in both running boards. Some off-road fun, er I mean trail kisses. I never had any of it fixed because, quite frankly, it never bothered me. * Windshield is cracked, I'm happy to have that replaced for you after payment / before pick-up. Last time I had it replaced it was hit by a rock on my way home from work a week later and had cracked by the next morning before I could even get it in to have the chip fixed, so I've had no desire to replace it again for myself for doggie transport duty. * She had clutch work done a few years ago, and is about due for it again as it's slipping again. She has her good days, and her bad days. I would suggest that you plan to tow-it-home. From what I've been told, it appears she has a "rear main seal" leak that is impacting the clutch. However, we've seen no overt signs of any leak - no drips, no oil level issues, no burning oil when running - so we take that with a grain of salt. * Other than the clutch and the potential seal leak, she runs well and the only time she had any work beyond standard maintenance was the week I bought her - there was an issue with the coolant system that they fixed under warranty. Hmm, oh and the seat-belt on driver's side is slow to retract on release, but that doesn't affect driving / handling of course. Oh oh and I backed into a garage with her once, so there's a dent on the back and the back windshield washer isn't working all that great, but no water leaks and the back window slides up and down just fine (and man am I going to miss having an up/down back window with the dogs, peeps just don't seem to make then in many other models).* Tires are fairly new, I'll get the date / miles when I clean her out before more pictures. * The remote keyless entry fob is long gone. I do have multiple keys to send with her. * Has never been in an on-road accident, just the trail kisses and garage bump as noted above. That's all I can think of! Let me know as you have questions.
