"The Dark Knight" - - - The nickname of this 1946 Chevy custom pickup is very fitting. It is a very sinister looking truck, and has a very distinct character. With black wheels, dark window tinting, and a grey metallic paint color, this truck is both eerie and breathtaking. The 1930s Chevy model pickup frame was "Z'ed" in the front and rear, and the entire frame has been boxed. It has Ford front suspension components, and a Ford 9" rear-end. The entire frame has been powdercoated along with all of the front suspension components. The truck has latter-bar suspension in the rear with coil over shocks. The brake lines are polished, stainless steel. The gear shifter is a Richard the Lionheart replica sword, which becomes a conversation piece for the truck. The grill insert is a customized cut-out of a lion and crown. The motor is a GM rebuilt late model 350. The induction on this motor is off of an early 1990s Corvette. It is a multi-port tuned port fuel injection, with a Painless wiring harness, and a Stage II chip. Extras on this motor include a gear reduced polished stainless steel starter, a finned aluminum oil pan, billet pulleys, a chrome alternator with a stainless steel alternator bracket, matching finned valve covers, and a K&N air cleaner. The transmission is a turbo 400 with a finned aluminum pan and a heavy duty torque convertor. The radiator is heavy duty aluminum with an electric fan in the front, and the catch can is a Crown Royal bottle. The bed is made of all new steel, with a louvered tailgate, and a hidden fuel cap. The headlights and taillights are brand new. On this truck, every extra bolt, fastener, etc. is stainless steel, even down to the chains that hold the tailgate. The interior is black, with pin striping on the dash and headliner. It has power windows and new gauges (the gauges work). The truck runs and drives strong, and the exhaust has a nice, deep tone.
