This auction is for a 1947 Matchless project bike, model G80L. It’s a 500cc single. The engine turns freely with compression, the front forks are workable, move up and down and the wheels turn freely. It has the original wheels, engine, transmission, front and back ends, one of the rear fender pieces, magneto and carb. I have a clear title for it, just not enough time to complete the project myself. This project bike is being sold "as is where is". There are no warranties being made either explicit or implied. I have tried to adequately describe the bike to the best of my abilities. Additionally, I have included a zoom option to allow you to closely examine the bike pictures. I am also open to any questions you may have and you are more than welcome to come and look at the bike before bidding, just email me and we'll set it up.If there are no takers I may consider offers for parts of the bike. I would prefer to see it go to someone who would restore it, but if it helps bring another bike back I guess that will be OK Last picture is what the bike originally looked like - Rather cool I think! I've also seen them turned into retro Café Racers - not too bad either.
