Cadillac has always stood for quality...............and Eldorado has been at the pinnacle of style for the brand. The 1972 Eldorado is a landmark car by anybody's standard. Ever since its inception in 1953, the Eldorado has always been the sporting luxury style leader in the automotive industry and with General Motors new front wheel drive production platform, the 1972 model became a masterpiece, and took the industry........and world by storm. With its unique side port windows and side aesthetic vents, unique to only the 71-72 years, it is the rarest of the 70's Eldorado's. This Cadillac Eldorado boasts a 8.2 litter V8 500ci big block and was the biggest production motor ever made by Cadillac, again rare! The crisp forward lines look only better with age, Leaving the big fins behind for bold masculine lines, this was the flagship of 70'S Cadillac's. It's unique Tapered 1 piece smooth rear bumper, long hood, two piece seamed rear glass...........the car just worked, and is a styling masterpiece today..........and forever. This Eldorado has spent its entire life in California...........with only three owners from new. The car is basically a survivor, with only 82k+ ORIGINAL miles and going up as it's still driven regularly. With the exception of attending to some of the cosmetics that time had caused to show signs of age, it is original! The car was recently repainted only to be freshened up as a Cadillac demands excellence. This Eldorado has never been in an accident. It still has the orig. Highway patrol inspection stickers (from the 70's) in the front window as well as a cool period club sticker also original blue California plates. A rare and stunning color combination of white exterior and Red leather interior and white vinyl top. This was the ultimate color combination to have! Everyone desired this combo in the 70's and still holds true being the most collectable color combo today. This is the ultimate casino car! The car sports a true and classic elegance look. Original chrome and stainless still are all in great shape! Original carpeting, original door trim panels, this model even has a rear door handle (located at the back of the door) for your rear passenger guests to exit with ease (pretty cool feature, think limo), original floors and trunk flooring, also has all the original floor mats including in the trunk as well. Full power on this eldo! power locks, power windows, power doors and even Power seats! and lets not forget the tilt and telescopic steering wheel! This is 1 family owned car since 1972\73. For most of it's life since new the car belonged to a much loved elderly women here in Northern California for many years, she drove to the store and back and kept the Cadillac garaged. As she got to old to drive, the car was passed down to one of her nephews and a good friend of mine in which it sat stored on his property occasionally being started and driven around, before I talked him into to selling it to me vs. It just sitting not being enjoyed. The engine runs nicely, and loves to be on the highway and cruised around. My family and I have enjoyed this Cadillac Eldorado and We affectionately nicknamed our car "the floater"..........which aptly describes the way the car performs on the street or the Highway. Lots of torque, the car just floats along, and makes every mile a pleasurable experience. The car is not a show car...it is a wonderful, clean driver quality car that is 42 years old. It will be welcomed and steal the show at any local show and shine car gathering but it is not a concourse or museum quality show car. It is however a nice solid honest car ready for you! Turn the key and enjoy!!! Every time I drive this Cadillac people wave, thumbs up, and often strike up conversation at red lights lol. It truly is loved by all ages and all people! You will be a hit anywhere and everywhere! A complete tune-up has been done on this Cadillac Including, Plugs, wires, cap and rotor and points, all the belts, starter, front and rear brakes and the master cylinder. The motor looks as a 43 year old motor should but don't let that fool you it performs as a Cadillac should! The car's strata power bench seat option is welcomed and works well. With it's fold down center armrest, tons of space and not lets not forget amazing comfort, it makes day trips or local cruise nights wonderful. The leather on the front driver seat shows normal wear after 42 years however has held up great considering the age! The headliner looks great and was replaced a few years back and still looks brand new till this day! The stock 8 track stereo still resides in the car and lights up however does not emit sound, not sure why not, I'm sure it's something minor, even Still has a John Denver 8 track in it that will come with the car. :) Talk about a time capsule! The clock doesn't seem to be working properly, I'm "guessing" fuse related? also to mention the interior rear upper side courtesy lights will need replacing, very minuet but thought it should be mentioned. (still in working order just cracked). As you can see from the pictures ...........this California car shows no areas of rust. Other key points; Brand NEW tires replaced about 4 months ago and COMPLETE tune up! Has original A\C however, does not work at this time, did not effect me as I drive classics with the windows down here in the Californian sun. :) Perfectly fitted orig. dash cover, a couple heat cracks in dash. Not noticeable being covered of course. Newly painted! again, not show quality but looks great! Orig. Rear air bags, that work, to set your desired ride height. Orig. Spare tire cover.
